  • Patent number: 6888472
Abstract: An improved programmable timer unit can be incorporated into a remote control management system to actuate loads according a user's defined schedule without relying upon any additional supplementary device for data communication. The timer unit includes an input section for selecting a switch address of any switch employed in the system and a schedule specifying the actuation time and the control code for actuation of the target load or loads. A processor makes up a load management program based upon the schedule and executes the program for control of loads. Thus, the timer unit can alone emulate any one of the switches for controlling loads without relying on additional external device for the data communication.

  • Patent number: 6658303
Abstract: A timer processing section 10 instructs a transmission processing section 11 to control load in accordance with a time schedule stored in a program storage section 12. The transmission processing section 11 is connected to a two-wire signal line and gives a load control instruction to each terminal to which load is connected according to a time-division multiplex transmission system. The time schedule stored in a program storage section 12 is a set of the address related to the load to be controlled and the control contents and the control time of the load. Therefore, when the time set according to the time schedule is reached, the load specified by the address is controlled.

  • Patent number: 6529838
Abstract: A jig is successively mounted on each of the four wheels of a vehicle. The jig is struck in three orthogonal directions independently, and at the same time, a microphone inside the vehicle measures the sound pressure of noise generated due to the exciting force. An FFT analyzer operates a frequency response function from the exciting force to the sound pressure. In a drum testing machine, a tire to be subject to noise prediction is mounted on a shaft, the tire is rotated, and the axial force in the three orthogonal directions is measured. The axial force signal is input to the FFT analyzer and the auto power spectrum in the three orthogonal directions and the cross power spectrum between two different axial directions are operated. The frequency response functions are synthesized with the auto power and cross power spectrums, and the power spectrum of the road noise is operated.

  • Patent number: 6459938
Abstract: A control terminal 32 includes an individual address setting section 12 for setting a unique individual address, and a simultaneous control address setting section 13 for setting a simultaneous control address common to the plurality of control terminals 32. A simultaneous control address is commonly assigned to the control terminals 32 to be subjected to group control. When an UP switch Sb or a DOWN switch Sc of an operation terminal 31b for group dimming purpose is pushed, a transfer signal including the simultaneous control address is transmitted to a signal line Ls from a transfer controller 30. The respective control terminals 32 substantially simultaneously receive the transfer signal, thereby changing the intensity of illumination loads.

  • Patent number: 6444146
Abstract: An improved process for producing optical materials with minimized yellowing is described. The process is characterized by polymerizing/curing a composition for optical materials after adding a bluing agent. With the use of the bluing agent, the yellowing is minimized even when a large amount of an ultraviolet light absorber is used to improve a light resistance of the resultant optical material, thereby enabling the production of optical materials having a colorless and transparent appearance and excellent optical properties.
