  • Patent number: 10015473
Abstract: First, the interval between a left virtual camera and a right virtual camera is determined based on the relative position and the relative orientation of an outer imaging section (left) with respect to a marker, which are calculated from a result of marker recognition in the left real world image, and on the relative position and the relative orientation of an outer imaging section (right) with respect to the marker, which are calculated from a result of marker recognition in the right real world image. After the interval between the left virtual camera and the right virtual camera is determined, the positions and the orientations of the left virtual camera and the right virtual camera are determined based on the determined interval such that the relationship between the position and the orientation of the left virtual camera, and the position and the orientation of the right virtual camera is ideal.

  • Patent number: 9826576
Abstract: When an inverter circuit is driven at a predetermined driving frequency, an amount of current change per predetermined period of time of an input current or a coil current is detected, and a heating period from a start of control until the amount of current change becomes a set value or less is measured. Then, the inverter circuit is controlled to reduce high frequency power to be supplied to a heating coil in accordance with a length of the measured heating period.

  • Patent number: 9433861
Abstract: A game apparatus automatically receives piece information from another game apparatus by short-range wireless communication. The game apparatus obtains step count data based on an amount of movement of the game apparatus (i.e., a step count of a user of the game apparatus). The game apparatus uses piece information obtained by the short-range wireless communication, thereby performing a predetermined process of an application (i.e., a process of incorporating a piece image into a collection image), or uses step count data (i.e., an owned coin count resulting from conversion of the step count data) instead of piece information obtained by the short-range wireless communication, thereby performing the predetermined process of the application (i.e., the process of incorporating a piece image into a collection image).

  • Patent number: 9278281
Abstract: A marker present in a real space is detected from each of a real image for a left eye and a real image for a right eye. The position and the orientation of each of imaging sections relative to the marker are calculated. A left virtual camera and a right virtual camera are set in accordance with the positions and the orientations of the imaging sections. A virtual model having a planar shape is placed in a marker coordinate system, and areas in the real image for a left eye and the real image for a right eye that correspond to the virtual model are set as a left texture area and a right texture area, respectively. Each of images included in a left texture area and a right texture area is applied, as a texture, to a deformation object into which the virtual model is deformed.

  • Patent number: 9001192
Abstract: A game device 10 displays an image on an upper LCD 22 capable of producing stereoscopic display using two images. Based on two captured images of a predetermined image-capture object captured respectively by two image-capturing devices, the game device 10 calculates a positional relationship between the predetermined image-capture object and each of the image-capturing devices. Then, the game device 10 determines a zero-parallax distance using at least one of the positional relationships so that it is a distance in accordance with a distance from the image-capturing device to the image-capture object, and determines display positions of the two captured images to be displayed on the upper LCD 22 in accordance with the zero-parallax distance.

  • Patent number: 8970678
Abstract: First, a stereoscopic vision reference distances is individually determined for each virtual object disposed in a virtual space, based on a depth position of each of the virtual objects. Next, each of the virtual objects is rendered and combined based on one pair of virtual cameras such that a relative position, with respect to the screen of a stereoscopic display device, of a virtual object, viewed by a user through a screen of the stereoscopic display device, matches a relative position of the virtual object with respect to a stereoscopic vision reference surface for the virtual object in the virtual space.

  • Patent number: 8910075
Abstract: A game apparatus includes an LCD, and a touch panel is provided on the LCD. On the LCD, a game screen of a tramp game is displayed. When a player performs a touch-on operation on a card object displayed on the game screen, if another card is overlapped with the touched card object, and the overlapping is large, this another card object is moved. Accordingly, a mark and a character (numeric or alphabetic character) of the card object on which the player performs a touch-on operation are displayed to be visually identifiable.

  • Patent number: 8902298
Abstract: An example game device sets a reference distance for a distance from a real camera in an image-capturing direction, and displays a right captured image and a left captured image in a display area so that a reference point, which is a point that is away from the real camera by the reference distance, is displayed at a center in the display area. Thus, when an image produced by using an augmented reality technique is stereoscopically displayed, it is possible to display a virtual image in a manner easy to view.

  • Patent number: 8847522
Abstract: In a motor, a stationary member is provided with a number M (M is a positive integer) of first poles within 360 electrical degrees at spaces therebetween. A plurality of windings are at least partly wound in the spaces, respectively. A movable member is movably arranged relative to the stationary member and provided with a number K (K is a positive integer) of second poles. The number K of second poles is different from the number M of first poles. • Patent number: 8830231
Abstract: A game device 10 displays an image on an upper LCD 22 capable of producing stereoscopic display using two images. The game device 10 determines a shift amount from a reference position for a frame 62 of a predetermined size representing a display area of each captured image. Here, for at least one of the frames, if the frame 62 moved by the shift amount protrudes out of a captured image 55, the size of each frame is changed so that the frame 62 does not protrude out of the captured image 55. The game device 10 displays an image in the frame of each of two captured images in a predetermined area on a screen of a stereoscopic display device.

  • Patent number: 8710750
Abstract: A power supply circuit drives circuits having different numbers of series-connected LEDs without changing a circuit constant or a component. An LED series circuit is connected to a power converter circuit of a power supply circuit. The power converter circuit is controlled by a control arithmetic circuit, and supplies a constant current to the LED series circuit. A voltage detection circuit detects a voltage applied to the LED series circuit. The control arithmetic circuit checks whether the LED series circuit has 40 LEDs or 20 LEDs, based on the voltage detected by the voltage detection circuit. The control arithmetic circuit holds a constant-current value table for 40 LEDs and a constant-current value table for 20 LEDs. In accordance with the detected voltage, the control arithmetic circuit selects one constant-current value table, and controls the power converter circuit based on the constant-current value table selected.
