  • Publication number: 20050022780
Abstract: An air amount control valve is connected to a sidewall of a throttle body in which a main air passage for supplying intake air into an internal combustion engine is formed. The air amount control valve has a bypass air passage bypassing the main passage and controls an amount of air flowing through the bypass air passage, thereby controlling an idling speed of the engine. The air amount control valve includes an aluminum alloy housing having a valve hole and a rotatable valve body having a valve surface facing a fringe wall of the valve hole. To prevent deposits from adhering to the fringe wall facing the valve surface, an anodic oxide film is formed to cover the fringe wall and further a fluororesin film is formed on the anodic oxide film.

  • Patent number: 6408817
Abstract: A hot water conduit is formed between an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder. A gasket seals an annular opening of the hot water conduit facing to a surge tank. Hot water is supplied into the conduit from an engine cooling water passage. Heat of the hot water is effectively transferred to the entire vicinity or surrounding of a throttle valve, thereby effectively avoiding icing phenomenon of the throttle apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6378491
Abstract: A hollow-cylindrical heat conduction portion is formed on a throttle body in such a way as to protrude outwardly therefrom in the radial direction. The throttle body and the heat conduction portion are integrally formed using metal material such as aluminum having excellent heat conductivity or resin material containing such a metal material. A vent hole communicating the interior with the exterior of a head cover is formed in the head cover. Through the vent hole there is inserted the heat conduction portion, and the clearance between an outer-peripheral wall thereof and an inner wall of the vent hole is sealed by means of a seal member.

  • Patent number: 6295968
Abstract: A metal plate is made of a material having strength higher than a resin material for forming a throttle body and is disposed in the throttle body. The plate supports one end of a throttle shaft, fixes a shaft, and holds a motor. When the throttle body is made of a resin material, therefore, the rigidity of the throttle apparatus is enhanced and high dimensional accuracy among the throttle shaft, the shaft, and a rotary shaft can be assured.

  • Publication number: 20010013586
Abstract: A worker inserts a correcting pin into bearing members. Then, a cylindrical portion and retaining portions are molded together into an integrated resin unit. After finishing the molding operation, the worker extracts the correcting pin from the bearing members and subsequently inserts a throttle shaft into the bearing members. Accordingly, an axial center of the bearing member accurately agrees with an axial center of the bearing member. Then, the worker fixes a throttle valve to the throttle shaft.

  • Patent number: 6215207
Abstract: A torque motor comprises a rotor having a pair of permanent magnet groups, and a pair of stator cores. Each magnet group includes a plurality of plate or rod-shaped permanent magnets arranged in a circumferential direction. The magnet groups are arranged asymmetrically with respect to a rotary axis of the rotor. That is, one magnet group is displaced one-half angle of the pitch angle of each permanent magnet from the symmetric position of the other magnet group with respect to the rotary axis of the rotor. Alternatively, the stator cores are arranged asymmetrically with respect to the rotary axis of the rotor so that a front end of one stator core is displaced from the symmetric position of a front end of the other stator core in the circumferential direction. A cylindrical magnetic cover is fitted on the rotor to cover the permanent magnets circumferentially.

  • Patent number: 5996554
Abstract: A throttle valve control device is composed of a stator core with a solenoid and a rotor carrying a throttle valve. The rotor has a pair of poles which is composed of one or a plurality of rare-earth-metal permanent magnets magnetized in the radial thickness direction. The stator core has an inner periphery sorounding the rotor, and the inner periphery is smooth with no slot so that uniform distribution of magnetic flux can be formed in the inner periphery, thereby reducing the detent torque.
