  • Publication number: 20090141176
Abstract: An amount of change calculated by an amount-of-change calculator (11) is stored in an amount-of-change storage (12), and an amount-of-change comparison unit (13) compares an amount of change between a frame one frame before a frame whose gradation is to be corrected and a frame before that frame. If the amount of change is larger than a predetermined value, correction value data of the frame one frame before is not used, but a correction value table of a frame before the change is chosen and read from a correction value calculator (15). If the amount of change is equal to or smaller than a predetermined value, a correction value table of the frame one frame before which did not changed much is read from the correction value calculator (15) and is written to a lookup table (16). Correction data (level data) is read from the lookup table (16) at an address and is outputted as a gradation-corrected luminance signal.

  • Publication number: 20080109800
Abstract: When there is no agreement between the version of version update data stored in the master memory and the version information of software stored in a slave memory, the version update data is transferred to the slave side thereby rewriting the software stored in the slave memory. By updating the version update data at the master memory, the software for the slave can be updated without exchanging the hardware of the slave.

  • Publication number: 20070225934
Abstract: A measuring apparatus includes a sensor unit, a processing unit, and a communication unit. The sensor unit may include at least one sensor that is configured to generate an output signal. The processing unit may be configured to be separate from the sensor unit. The processing unit may be configured to perform at least a first set of operations based on the output signal. The communication unit may couple the sensor unit and the processing unit. The communication unit may be configured to transmit the output signal as a digital signal from the sensor unit to the processing unit.

  • Patent number: 7053946
Abstract: An inventive video camera imager supports an interlace scan mode, a dynamic range-widening scan (WS) mode and a sequential scan mode with a limited amount of circuitry. For this, a WS image signal of 2N lines and a sequential scan image signal of 2N lines (N is the number of scan lines of an image to be obtained) is used. Every other line of WS image signal is longer in exposure time than adjacent lines of the WS image signal. A simplified imager may support only interlace scan mode and sequential scan mode, or may support only WS mode and sequential scan mode.

  • Patent number: 5868525
Abstract: To protect ground composed of loose sand or sandy soil, and structures constructed thereon against seismic liquefaction disasters, said ground is improved and reinforced by a four-stage method. At the first stage, a specially formulated mortar impregnating material is injected by a specific impregnating machine through a given array of injection points into the ground to achieve a first effect by the first impregnation by consolidation. At the second stage, an injection pipe having a distal penetrating end unit is forced or driven into the ground to obtain pile-like compression effect. At the third stage, a specially formulated cement impregnating material is injected into the ground to obtain a third or consolidation effect. At the fourth stage, the impregnation of the cement material under pressure causes soil particles to be solidified by the penetration thereof.

  • Patent number: 4540316
Abstract: A method of improving, for building purposes, soft ground containing organic material utilizes a fluid composition, for injection into the ground, consisting of cement, water, bentonite and either sand or a lightweight, inert, finely divided, readily available naturally-occurring material such as volcanic ash, or an industrial or agricultural waste such as coal or incinerator ash, wood dust, powdered waste plastics material, cereal hulls or the like. The composition is injected at prescribed locations to effect replacement of portions of the soft ground and solidifies in situ, while because of the resulting pressure created on the surrounding ground soil water is expressed and the surrounding soft ground becomes compacted.

  • Patent number: 4309129
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for improving the strength of a soft viscous ground are disclosed. For improving the strength of an area of some extent, hardenable liquid consisting essentially of cement milk is injected into each one of a plurality of preselected points for promoting dehydration and compaction of the ground. The liquid is hardened in a short time for forming a rigid tree-like structure. A measure or index for the local ground strength is obtained at first by using a measuring/injection device, and the injection pressure is set to be slightly larger than the measure or index so obtained. The liquid may then be permeated into the soft viscous ground at substantially the same injection pressure until the ground is consolidated satisfactorily.
