  • Publication number: 20190245621
Abstract: An optical relay of an optical transmission system includes an optical transmission network formed by a plurality of the optical relays and a network management apparatus that manages the optical transmission network. The optical relays each include an optical transmitter that can generate an optical signal of a specific wavelength, a transmission wavelength selective switch that can switch a path on a wavelength basis, and a transmission compensation control unit that controls the optical transmitter. When the transmission compensation control unit receives, from the network management apparatus, information on the band limitation occurrence frequency that is the number of occurrences of band limitation when the optical signal generated by the optical transmitter passes through another one of the optical relays, the transmission compensation control unit adjusts a frequency of the optical signal by changing a setting of the optical transmitter on the basis of the information received.

  • Patent number: 10084544
Abstract: An optical relay device includes a WSS functioning as a wavelength selective switch capable of performing path switching in wavelength units and optical level adjustment for each of wavelengths and a control device that instructs, on the basis of a fluctuation amount of an optical level for each of the wavelengths of an optical signal output from the WSS and setting information indicating, for each of the wavelengths, whether optical level adjustment for the wavelengths of the optical signal is enabled, the WSS to perform a setting change of an optical level adjustment amount of the optical signal.

  • Publication number: 20140334812
Abstract: A wavelength multiplexing optical communication device includes: a pluggable LD module that generates a check optical signal having a specific wavelength; a multiplexer that multiplexes the check optical signal onto the transmitting-side optical fiber which links the transmitting-side connector with a corresponding output port of the optical demultiplexer, the transmitting-side connector being connected to the in-device optical fiber; a demultiplexer that demultiplexer the check optical signal from a receiving-side optical fiber which links the receiving-side connector with a corresponding input port of the optical multiplexer, the receiving-side connector being connected to the in-device optical fiber; a level detector that detects a level of the check optical signal obtained by the demultiplexer; and an erroneous connection detector that detects an erroneous connection of the in-device optical fiber in accordance with the detected level.
