  • Patent number: 8970360
Abstract: An apparatus for performing a display indicating a state of fuel efficiency of a vehicle according to a driving operation, detects an operating state of the vehicle according to a driving operation performed by a driver of the vehicle. A score for representing the state of fuel efficiency of the vehicle according to the driving operation is determined. Here, the score is allocated to correspond to the operating state. A display indicating the score is performed as the display indicating the state of fuel efficiency. The allocation of the score to the operating state of the vehicle is changed according to a value obtained by accumulating the score. For example, the allocation of the score to the operating state is changed such that the score is lower as the value obtained by accumulating the score is higher. Thus, a degree of strictness with which the score is marked is higher as the level of the driving skill represented by the accumulated value is higher.

  • Publication number: 20110210838
Abstract: Coaching for driving operation for improving the fuel efficiency is provided. An instrument panel of the vehicle is structured to be a two-tier panel of an upper level and a lower level. A display means for displaying a color on a display unit disposed in the upper level is provided. If a predetermined driving operation by a driver is detected, a color to be displayed on the display unit is determined based on an operating state of the vehicle according to the detected driving operation. The color displayed on the display unit is changeable between a first color and a second color. The first color is established as a color indicating a fuel-efficient driving operation state. The second color is established as a color indicating a fuel-inefficient driving operation state. The color to be displayed is determined such that the color to be displayed gets closer to the first color as the detected driving operation becomes a more fuel-efficient driving operation state.

  • Publication number: 20070043985
Abstract: In order to provide a memory control method and a memory controller, which can prevent an extra access even when a transfer frequency is uncertain, a memory access control method according to the invention is a method of controlling continuous transfers from a master connected to a system bus to the memory controller, wherein a transfer frequency of continuous transfers performed with respect to the memory controller is retained, and when the transfer frequency with respect to the memory controller is irregular, the transfer frequency for this time is predicted based on the retained past transfer frequency, and an access to a memory connected to the memory controller is performed first, based on the predicted transfer frequency. In other words, when the continuous access (burst transfer frequency) to the memory controller is irregular, the transfer frequency of the irregular continuous access currently performed is predicted, thereby enabling a reduction of extra access.

  • Patent number: 6857414
Abstract: There is provided a control system for an internal combustion engine, which is capable of matching an output torque of the engine with a demanded torque excellently when the combustion mode is switched, thereby enhancing drivability. A demanded fuel amount and a demanded torque of the engine are calculated according to detected operating conditions of the engine. A combustion mode is determined to be either the stratified combustion mode or the homogeneous combustion mode according to the demanded torque. A pre-switching demanded fuel injection time period and a pre-switching demanded torque are stored. When the combustion mode is switched, a switching-time demanded fuel amount (limit value) is calculated according to the stored pre-switching demanded fuel injection time period and pre-switching demanded torque, the current demanded torque, and an estimated combustion efficiency parameter.
