  • Patent number: 5252089
Abstract: A connector apparatus which assures sufficient fitting of a pair of connectors with each other. The connector apparatus includes a pair of connectors, and a fixing frame having a through-hole defined by a pair of side walls thereof along which the connectors are movable in a fitting direction and in a direction perpendicular to the fitting direction. A guide mechanism including pins on each of the connectors and pin receiving guideways in the fixing frame guides the connectors after the connectors are inserted into the through-hole of the fixing frame from the opposite ends toward each other until they are partially fitted with each other and then causes the connectors to gradually approach and fit together until a thoroughly fitted condition is reached.

  • Patent number: 5205752
Abstract: According to the present invention, cam grooves are formed in a lower surface of a rotation plate of a cam member, and are disposed symmetrically with respect to a rotation shaft. A rotation retaining plate is mounted on a distal end of the rotation shaft. A pair of housing have cam follower pins, respectively, which are engaged in the cam grooves, respectively. One housing has a pin guide groove which guides the rotation shaft and the cam follower pin. A flexible lock member having a lock release projection is provided at an introduction groove of one cam groove in the rotation plate. Upon the initial fitting of the pair of housings, the cam follower pin is engaged with the lock release projection to release the locking of the rotation plate by the flexible lock member, thereby allowing the angular movement of the cam member.

  • Patent number: 5194016
Abstract: Connection-condition checkable connectors to be electrically interconnected are provided with a pair of connector members to be interconnected. One of the connector members is provided with a cantilever-like resilient detection arm extending in a longitudinal axis which is coincident with a line along which the connector members are moved to be interconnected. In order to resiliently deform the detection arm in connecting operation so as to move the same temporarily in a direction substantially perpendicular to the line, and then to permit the detection arm to return to its original position, the detection arm has a projection and the other of the connector members has a counter projection. A plurality of detection marks are provided for the detection arm and the other of the connector members so as to be arranged side by side in a direction perpendicular to the line.

  • Patent number: 5135418
Abstract: An electrical socket contact for receiving a pin contact comprises an electrical socket contact portion which includes a pair of spring tines having free ends, extending as cantilevers from a body thereof and opposite to each other. Flat contact portions having respectively a converging contact point which projects inward are formed at the free ends of the spring tines. Since a pair of the spring tines are formed so that two lines linking the converging contact points opposite to each other with respect to sections thereof are substantially orthogonal, it is possible to precisely and easily measure the distances between the contact points of the spring tines to define an opening for receiving the pin contact.

  • Patent number: 5104333
Abstract: A connector apparatus which assures sufficient fitting of a pair of connectors with each other. The connector apparatus comprises a pair of connectors and a fixing frame having a through-hole defined by a pair of side walls thereof along which the connectors are movable in a fitting direction and then in a slantwise or inclined direction. A guide mechanism is provided which guides the connectors as they are moved to a predetermined position in the inclined direction after the connectors are inserted into the through-hole of the fixing frame from the opposite ends toward each other until they are partially fitted with each other. The guide mechanism causes one of the connectors to gradually approach and fit with the other connector until a throughly fitted condition is reached. Only when the connectors are at the predetermined position, a flexible grommet for the one connector can be fixed by way of a fixing element to a panel or the like to which the fixing frame is secured.
