  • Publication number: 20050013265
Abstract: If a radio LAN apparatus moves from a communication range of a first access point to a communication range of a second access point, and if communication link between the radio LAN apparatus and the first access point is broken, a memory control section stops transmitting data to the first access point. At this time, data to be transmitted to the first access point are not deleted from memory. After the radio LAN apparatus enters the communication range of the second access point, the memory control section resumes transmission of the data stored in the memory. Thereafter, the next data are transmitted. Thus, the data is transmitted in proper sequence.

  • Publication number: 20040107232
Abstract: In a digital filter device which filters a plurality of signals by a single digital filter, an input data memory stores the input data strings generated by computing processors, and a digital filter reads the input data strings in a predetermined sequence to be filtered and generates output data strings. An output data memory stores the output data strings, and a data processor reads the output data strings in a predetermined sequence to be processed. Also, a switch table for associating an address of the input data memory in which the input data strings are stored with an address of the output data memory in which the output data strings are stored is provided, and based on this switch table, a switching controller provides timings of reading the input data strings out of the input data memory and of writing the input data strings as the output data strings into the output data memory through the digital filter.

  • Publication number: 20040062525
Abstract: A video processing system which realizes high efficiency and improved service quality in video production, including high-speed extraction of scenes related to a particular subject and compilation of a personalized video product. Video recording units are placed along a given course, each of which stores video of moving objects that is captured by a fixed camera, together with time stamps that indicate at what time each part of the video was taken. At checkpoints on the course, time measurement units measure checkpoint passage time of every passing moving object and store checkpoint time records including the measured checkpoint passage times and identifiers of individual moving objects. A video authoring unit searches the stored video data to find and extract scenes of a particular moving object, using the checkpoint time records in association with time stamps in the video data, and compiles the extracted scenes into a personalized video product.

  • Publication number: 20040037490
Abstract: An object of the invention is to provide a control apparatus and a control method having a simple constitution, which can stably perform switching of optical path in an optical signal exchanger, while suppressing an influence on a control due to the mechanical resonance of tilt mirrors. To this end, the control apparatus of the optical signal exchanger is constituted such that in an optical signal exchanger of three-dimensional type using one set of MEMS mirror arrays, each having a plurality of tilt mirrors arranged on a plane, each tilt mirror having a reflecting surface an angle of which is controllable, when the angle of the MEMS mirror on the optical path is feedback controlled by detecting power of an optical signal output from a specific position, a resonance component removing section that removes a resonance frequency component included in a control signal is shared corresponding to a pair of driving electrodes arranged in a coaxial direction of the MEMS mirror.

  • Patent number: 6111021
Abstract: A vulcanizable rubber composition comprising a blend which is prepared by micro-dispersing a polyolefin resin (B) in an ethylene-.alpha.-olefin-nonconjugated polyene copolymer rubber (A) comprising ethylene, a C.sub.3 -C.sub.20 .alpha.-olefin and a nonconjugated polyene in a molten state and in which the mean diameter of dispersed particles of the polyolefin resin (B) is 2 .mu.m or below and the (B) to (A) weight ratio ranges from 5/95 to 50/50. The micro-dispersion of a polyolefin resin (B) can easily be attained by kneading the components (A) and (B) together with compounding ingredients (such as reinforcement, filler, softener, vulcanization accelerator, vulcanizing agent and so on) in a rubber kneader, through the resin (B) is essentially difficult of micro-dispersion. Further, the composition enables the provision of rubber articles having a high and constant quality at a low cost, because the resin (B) can well be dispersed by conventional rubber kneaders in a short time without fail.

  • Patent number: 5295002
Abstract: An image communication device having a lower and an upper chassis, the lower chassis having a plurality of rollers for transporting original documents and a guide plate for guiding them, the upper chassis being located above the lower chassis and having a plurality of rollers for transporting recording paper. The lower chassis has a pair of side plates whose top edges contain a plurality of open-ended recesses. Inside the recesses are bearings that rotatably support the document transporting rollers. The guide plate has projections that press the bearings against the recess bottoms. Attaching the guide plate to the lower chassis causes the projections of the former to fix the bearings concurrently. The bearings and guide plate are preferably made up of conductive materials. The rollers are connected to ground via the bearings and guide plate.

  • Patent number: 5206745
Abstract: An image reading device comprising a device body and an image sensor unit located near the bottom of the body and facing the path through which original documents are transported. The image sensor unit is retained by a retaining member rotatably mounted on a rotary fulcrum shaft located near the bottom of the body. Turning the retaining member around the shaft causes the image sensor unit to extend out of the device and be exposed to perform maintenance thereon.

  • Patent number: 5102115
Abstract: An image reading device having a feed roller and a document-separating member for separating and feeding one document at a time from a stack of documents on a hopper, and an image sensor for reading each document being transported through a suitable document transport path inside the device. The document transport path is inclined downward for a short distance immediately downstream of the feed roller and the document-separating member, then is bent in a near-horizontal direction, stretching substantially straight. This structure reduces the overall height of the device. A rotatable pushing member for pushing the document-separating member against the feed roller has a document guide surface which is located downstream of the document-separating member and which protrudes beyond the putative extension of the document contact plane at the end of the document-separating member, the pushing member thereby constituting a bend of the path.
