  • Publication number: 20070234742
Abstract: A heating and cooling device includes a case having an air passage, a blower for sending air to the air passage, a thermoelectric conversion element and a controller. The thermoelectric conversion element is disposed in the case, and has a heat-absorbing part and a heat-emitting part, which are switched based on a current direction. The thermoelectric conversion element heats or cools air sent by the blower by switching the current direction. The controller stops electricity supplied to the thermoelectric conversion element, when air sent by the blower toward the thermoelectric conversion element is stopped while the thermoelectric conversion element is supplied with electricity.

  • Patent number: 7277624
Abstract: The erasion level appending range of a file is instructed. According to this instruction, the erasion level is set. When this setting range does not agree with the cell unit of the current cell, the current cell is divided to set a sequence of divided cells. Playback management information of each of the divided cells and current cell is re-created, and erasion level information is appended to playback management information of the divided cell that belongs to the appending range.

  • Publication number: 20070209369
Abstract: An air-conditioning device includes a pump for sending a thermal medium, a thermoelectric conversion unit for absorbing heat from the thermal medium, a target setting unit for setting a target cooling value, and a controlling unit. The controlling unit increases a flow amount of the thermal medium to be larger than a predetermined amount and stops the thermoelectric conversion unit from absorbing heat, when the target cooling value is smaller than a predetermined value. The controlling unit increases a heat-absorbing amount of the element and keeps the flow amount of the thermal medium to be larger than the predetermined amount, when the target cooling value is equal to or larger than the predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 7269337
Abstract: When moving pictures are recorded onto an optical disc, not only is text data recorded, but also video-recording start date and time, video-recording end date and time, and source name or channel number serving as primary text data are recorded in alphanumeric characters program by program or cell by cell, a program or a cell being used as a unit of video-recording. Other text data is recorded together with language code. Since the primary text data used to select video data is expressed in alphanumeric characters, a program or cell to be reproduced can be selected, regardless of language, and the text information in the same language as that of the apparatus can be searched for.

  • Publication number: 20070188923
Abstract: The magnetic recording medium comprises a first recording layer 16, a second recording layer 20 forming ferromagnetic coupling with the first recording layer, and an intermediate layer 18 formed between the first recording layer 16 and the second recording layer 20 and including non-magnetic layers 18a, 18b formed between the first recording layer 16 and the non-magnetic layer 18b and between the non-magnetic layer 18b and the second recording layer 20. Thus, the reproduction output of the vertical magnetic recording medium can be improved. The constitutions of the ferromagnetic layer and the non-magnetic layer of the intermediate layer are suitably controlled, whereby the S/N ratio of the vertical magnetic recording medium can be also improved.
