  • Patent number: 8670805
Abstract: In a system in which a reception (paging) cycle is defined by number of frames, even if length of the frames is changed, power consumption of a mobile station (MS) and a delay in response at the time of incoming are maintained by changing the paging cycle so that the paging cycles become equal in a time unit. The mobile station for receiving the signal from a wireless base station for each cycle defined by the number of frames to detect an incoming notification has a measurement unit for detecting a change in the frame length of received frames, a cycle changing unit for, if the change is detected, increasing or decreasing the number of frames which defines the cycle, and an incoming notification monitoring unit for receiving the signal from the wireless base station in accordance with the cycle changed by the cycle changing unit.

  • Patent number: 8660090
Abstract: A first base station forms a cell group including a first cell and a second cell partly overlapping with the first cell. A second base station forms a cell group including a third cell and a fourth cell partly overlapping with the third cell. An allocator of a communication control apparatus specifies an identifier for wireless communication that differs from any of wireless communication identifiers already allocated to mobile devices existing within either the first or second cell forming the cell group, and allocates the specified wireless communication identifier to a mobile device existing in the cell group constituted by the first and second cells. • Patent number: 8315259
Abstract: First paging information is determined in advance according to the characteristics of delivered data for each channel of delivered multicast data, and the multicast data delivery frame of each channel is determined based on the first paging information. Paging information (second paging information) for a mobile station which selects a channel is determined from the first paging information determined for each selected channel. Due to this, multicast data delivery frame can be overlapped (is synchronized) with frames for monitoring for paging announcements, and power consumption for an MS in the idle mode can be reduced.
