Abstract: 1,3 Diazines and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof inhibit phosphorylation of platelet-derived growth factor receptor and thereby hinder abnormal cell growth and cell wandering. The compounds may be used to treat or prevent cell-proliferative disorders such as arteriosclerosis, vascular reobstruction, cancer and glomerulosclerosis.

Abstract: Imidazoquinoline derivatives of the formula ##STR1## (wherein X may be O or S) provide selective cyclic guanosine 3',5' monophosphate (cGMP)--specific phosphodiesterase (PDE) inhibitory activity. The compounds are useful for treating or ameliorating cardiovascular disease such as thrombosis, angina pectoris, hypertension, heart failure and arterial sclerosis, as well as asthma, impotence and the like.

Abstract: A water pump comprises an impeller including a rotor main body and vanes arranged to protrude from an end face of the rotor main body and disposed radially. Each vane has an inlet portion which faces an inlet port of a housing and has an inner end which is substantially perpendicular to the direction of cooling water flowing from the inlet port to the inner periphery of each vane. The inlet portion of the vane has a circular arc with an inclination angle which is substantially identical to an inflow angle of cooling water.

Abstract: The present invention relates to imidazoquinazoline derivatives represented by the general formula (I): ##STR1## or pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof. The compounds of the present invention have strong and selective cGMP-specific PDE inhibitory activity and are useful for treating or ameliorating cardiovascular diseases such as thrombosis, angina pectoris, hypertension, arterial sclerosis and the like, as well as asthma and the like.

Abstract: An impeller structure of a closed type centrifugal pump suitable for inelastic fluids such as an engine coolant, comprises front and rear shrouds having a driven connection with a pump drive shaft, and a series of blades provided between the front and rear shrouds for pressurizing an incoming fluid. An inner edge (17a) of a first blade of two adjacent blades is formed to be up-sloped from its inside corner to its outside corner, whereas an inner edge (17c) of a second blade of the two adjacent blades is formed to be down-sloped from its outside corner to its inside corner, so as to enhance an efficiency of the pump, suppressing occurrence of cavitation at or near the pump inlet.

Abstract: Compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.3 is H or alkyl, Q.sub.1 and Q.sub.2 are independently hydrogen, alkyl, hydroxyl, alkoxyl, amino, mono or di alkylamino, nitro or halo or pharmaceutically acceptable salts are useful as cardiotonics.

Abstract: Quinazoline derivatives and their pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts having the general formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each represents hydrogen or alkyl;R.sup.3 represents alkyl or substituted alkyl;R.sup.7 and R.sup.8 each represent alkoxy;Z is oxygen or sulfur;m is zero or 1;n is zero or an integer from 1 to 5,exhibit a cardiotonic activity with little tendency to cause tachycardia.
