  • Patent number: 5042078
Abstract: A method of making color and gradation correction performs color and gradation correction differently for a human subject image and a computer graphic image before or after composing these images. A gradation correction is carried out by the use of linear table data written in a look-up table for computer graphic images and non-linear table data for human subject images. A color correction circuit for transforming image data by the use of a matrix calculation comprises three look-up table memories and an adder for adding together outputs from the look-up table memories for each color to be color corrected. In these three look-up table memories, different table data are written in, according to the kinds of human subject image and computer graphic image. There are provided a plurality of different table data for human subject images and computer graphic images, respectively and suitable table data are selected according to a human subject image and a computer graphic image to be composed.

  • Patent number: 4745442
Abstract: An instant photographic apparatus uses a photosensitive member in the form of a roll, of a length to receive a plurality of exposures, and an image-receiving member in the form of either a roll or a sheet. The photosensitive member is cut off to the length of a single frame of film after the exposure of its leading end. Before or after cutting off the member or members, the exposed leading end of the photosensitive member and the image-receiving member are superposed. Between the superposed members a processing liquid is distributed and spread in a uniform layer for diffusion transfer processing. During the processing, negative and positive images are produced simultaneously on the photosensitive and image-receiving members, respectively, according to the latent image previously created on the photosensitive member by exposure.

  • Patent number: 4735886
Abstract: An image-receiving member of sheet material has a portion on which a positive image is adapted to be formed. A pod of processing liquid is secured to the sheet material outside of the image-forming portion. Each pod is preferably divided into two processing fluid containing portions, such that an advancing roller can contact the flat portion devoid of processing liquid in order to advance the image-receiving sheet without rupturing the pod. The mask defining the area on which a positive image is formed, can be either a continuous sheet having openings at regular intervals, or it can be formed by connector sheets alternately coupled to image-receiving sheets in combination with longitudinal masking strips affixed directly to the image-receiving sheet.

  • Patent number: 4695143
Abstract: An instant photographic apparatus uses a photosensitive member, an image-receiving member, and an aqueous alkaline processing liquid separately accommodated within the housing thereof. The photosensitive and image-receiving members are, after the former has been exposed in order to create a latent image thereon, separately advanced to a position where the leading end of the exposed photosensitive member is superposed on a part of the image-receiving member. In this position, a processing liquid or rupturable pods of processing liquid is applied between the superposed members. When the superposed members are brought into contact with each other by passing between a pair of pressure-applying rollers, the processing liquid directly applied or released from the ruptured pods is distributed and spread in a uniform layer therebetween.
