  • Patent number: 5168364
Abstract: An image sensing apparatus for picking up images having a solid-state image sensor provided with an antiblooming gate. The antiblooming gate removes unnecessary electric charge at a given frequency rate during a period of time at which an exposure shutter reaches a desired aperture diameter. The antiblooming gate removes unnecessary charge at a lower frequency rate before and/or after the exposure shutter reaches the desired aperture diameter. Thus it is possible to provide a highly efficient antiblooming system that minimizes the duration in which the antiblooming gate operates at the higher frequency rate, thereby minimizing undesirable conditions associated with operating the gate at the higher frequency rate.

  • Patent number: 5095391
Abstract: A recording apparatus using a disc-shaped recording medium provided with a marker member on the recording medium for detection of the rotation phase thereof includes a phase detector for detecting the marker member while the recording medium is rotating; a delay circuit for delaying the output of the phase detector for a given period of time; a recording circuit for recording signals of the disc-shaped recording medium by means of a magnetic head; and a control circuit which is arranged to supply a current to the recording circuit at the timing of the output of the phase detector and to cause the recording circuit to perform recording at the timing of the output of the delay circuit.

  • Patent number: 5010423
Abstract: A tracking device is disclosed. When a target track is indicated by indicating means, the head is shifted toward the target track. During this time, prior to the detecting the signal for a position of the target track, the signals for the adjacent positions to the position of the target track on either side are detected, and, after that, the signal for the position of the target track is detected. Based on the outputs of these positions, discriminating means determines the position to which the head is tracked relative to the recording medium.

  • Patent number: 4953043
Abstract: An erasing device of the invention is adapted to erase information signals recorded in concentric circular tracks formed on a disc-shaped magnetic recording medium. A reference signal is first counted. According to the counted value, a plurality of kinds of first count data are caused to generate. Further, of the plurality of kinds of first count data, the first count data which represents a predetermined counted value is used to generate a reference erasing signal. Meanwhile, as the disc-shaped magnetic recording medium rotates, pulses are formed in synchronism with the period of its rotation. By counting the pulses, a second count data corresponding to the counted value is formed. To generate a first erasing pulse signal and a second erasing pulse signal in response to the reference erasing signal, the first count data and the second count data are compared with each other in magnitude.

  • Patent number: 4951276
Abstract: A recording apparatus capable of exchanging the recording medium includes a switch arranged to operate when the recording medium is exchanged, an electronic memory for storing the output of the switch in the electrical form, and a backup battery for supplying electrical power to the memory. Despite that the main electrical power source is cut off, the memory retains the storage of the fact of whether or not an event of exchanging the recording medium has ever occurred. After the position of the recording head has been re-adjusted, the memory is erased easily and quickly.

  • Patent number: 4779032
Abstract: A recording apparatus having a recording head for recording video signals on a magnetic disc as the disc rotates, comprises a servo motor, a circuit for generating a feedback signal representing the rotating state of the servo motor, a head moving member for changing over the recording position of the recording head relative to the magnetic disc, and a control circuit for performing a first sequence of controlling the rotating state of the servo motor in response to the feedback signal and a second sequence of controlling the moving state of the head moving member time-dividedly in response to generation of the feedback signal, so that the apparatus is constructed without the necessity of using a standard timing generating source solely used for controlling the movement of the head.
