  • Publication number: 20050133357
Abstract: A slide switch assembly comprises a housing and a slider having traveling contacts which define exposed contact faces. An accommodation section is formed in the housing to receive the slider and allow the slider to be moved slideably therein. A printed circuit board having fixed contact plates is attached to the printed circuit board. The printed circuit board is assembled with the housing such that the fixed contact plates are in opposition to the traveling contacts and adapted to make electrical contact with the traveling contacts in response to sliding movement of the slider. Preferably, the printed circuit board includes a printed conduction pattern, and the fixed contact plates include fixation bases adapted to be soldered to the conduction pattern and a bent contact portion extending therefrom. The accommodation section is most preferably defined by a partition wall having openings such that the contact portions of the fixed contact plates are positioned to be exposed through the openings.

  • Publication number: 20040070662
Abstract: A printer has a main body and a printer unit that is fixed to the main body. The printer unit has an upper cover and a lower cover. The lower cover is attached to the main body and the upper cover is fixed to the lower cover. A hollow space is formed between the upper and lower covers and a printing paper is set in this space. A sensor is provided in the upper cover and it detects a mark on the non-printable surface of the printing paper. One protrusion is provided in each of the upper and lower covers such that the protrusions make an electrical contact when the upper and lower covers are closed. A control unit is provided in the main body and it is electrically connected to the mark detection unit through the protrusions on the upper and lower covers and it controls various operations of the printer.

  • Publication number: 20040061769
Abstract: A thermal printer detachably connected to a portable type terminal equipment. The printer has a printer cover including upper and lower covers hinged together. A printer head is arranged in the body of the portable type terminal equipment, and a platen is arranged in the upper cover. The platen is usually held in the upper cover but can be released from it when undesirable force is applied to it. Therefore, a straight line connecting the platen shaft to the hinge shaft is generally parallel to the bottom surface of the portable type terminal equipment and the printer head is generally perpendicular to the straight line, so that a pressure applied by the printer head to the platen is reduced.

  • Patent number: 6655540
Abstract: A strap mounting space is formed around a boss formed on an upper cover and a lower cover which, when assembled together, form a case for an apparatus. One, or each, of the upper cover and the lower cover is/are formed integrally with a respective boss, preferably at each corner, so that the respective bosses at corresponding, common corners of the upper and lower covers, when assembled, are in an aligned and abutting relationship. A slits is formed in one of the corners of the upper and lower covers, extending around the respective boss(es) thereof, making up a strap mounting space. A screw 9 is inserted into a corresponding axial hole extending through each boss, affording a sufficient strength of the abutting bosses for supporting the case, with the apparatus therein, by a strap received through the strap mounting space.

  • Publication number: 20020044406
Abstract: A strap mounting space 7 is formed around a boss 8 formed on an upper cover 3 and a lower cover 4 making up an apparatus. Each boss 8 has a free end, and a slit formed around two bosses 8 in abutment against each other makes up the strap mounting space 7. The upper cover 3 and the lower cover 4 are each formed integrally with the boss 8. A screw 9 is inserted into each boss 8, and therefore a sufficient strength of the boss 8 can be secured.

  • Patent number: 5588302
Abstract: A car air conditioner is free from the problem of insufficient and frustrating defrosting effect of a conventional air conditioner that becomes apparent when wet air is blown onto the misted front window pane of the car in a rainy season by selecting a defroster position on the outlet vent selection switch of the air conditioner. In the control circuit of the air conditioner, the defroster contact 2a of the outlet vent selection switch 2 is connected to a pulse shaping circuit 9 for generating a pulse whenever selected and the pulse shaping circuit 9 is by turn connected to the reset terminal PR of a D flip-flop circuit 8, while the inverted output terminal Q2 of the D flip-flop circuit 8 is connected to an AC relay 5 by way of a NOR-gate 10 that calculates the logical sum of the logical value "L" generated when the compressor contact 3a of flow rate control switch 3 is closed.
