  • Patent number: 6886990
Abstract: An optical connector has a ferrule comprises of a cylindrical body for supporting an optical fiber, and a flange member having an end portion connected to a first end of the cylindrical body and a flange part projecting from the end portion. A holding member supports the ferrule and has an engaging part. A rotation positioning part is formed in the flange part of the flange member for positioning the flange part relative to the holding member to provide a first clearance between the rotation positioning part and the engaging part of the holding member for restricting rotation of the ferrule about the fiber optical axis relative to the holding member. A rotation allowing part is formed in the flange part of the flange member and spaced from the engaging part of the holding member to provide a second clearance therebetween greater than the first clearance for allowing rotational movement of the ferrule so as to permit the ferrule to incline in a direction transverse to an axis of the optical connector.

  • Patent number: 6652156
Abstract: An optical connector plug includes a holder having a ferrule at one end thereof, a stop ring for supporting the ferrule in a predetermined direction, a plug frame for rotatably supporting and incorporating the stop ring in an axial direction, and a coil spring interposed between the holder and the stop ring, for energizing the ferrule to the front in the plug frame, wherein the holder and the stop ring have engaging portions with which they are mutually engaged, and an optical axis of the ferrule is adjusted in a single step by rotating the stop ring and fixing the plug frame or by rotating the plug frame and fixing the stop ring, and an adjusted position is fixed by pressure generated by pressing the spring to the holder and by using an adhering agent which is filled between the plug frame and the stop ring.

  • Publication number: 20030215191
Abstract: Provided is a PC connector to be removed of useless stress during attached/detached thus being stably attached/detached. A flange part is provided in a polygonal or disk form circumferentially projecting on the flange member at a tip side thereof. In a holding part holding the flange member, an engaging part is formed axially of the optical fiber and in a predetermined engaging width. The flange part has a predetermined clearance to the engaging part at an axial tip side thereof. A rotation positioning part restricts a movement in rotational direction of the flange part. A rotation allowing part is provided to form, on a rear-end side of the rotation positioning part, a clearance greater than the clearance of between the rotation positioning part and the engaging part.

  • Patent number: 5563978
Abstract: The sleeve holder for an optical connector capable of preventing slip-off or disconnecting of the sleeve holder from a housing and eliminating breaking of a split sleeve due to the increase of an insertion force of the ferrule by maintaining always no-load state for engaging pieces. A tube-shaped main body inserted and held in the housing is mounted therein with a slider slidable in an axis direction. A split sleeve inserting and holding the ferrule is mounted at the insides of a tube body and the slider fixedly engaged coaxially with the main body, and such mount of the split sleeve together with the slider is slidable by a predetermined stroke in the axis direction.

  • Patent number: 5023524
Abstract: In a grid drive-type CRT display apparatus, the impedance of a second grid voltage supply circuit is made a high impedance and a low-frequency band rejecting streaking interference caused by the high impedance is compensated by low-frequency range emphasizing circuit means. The low-frequency range emphasizing circuit means compensates for the low-frequency range rejection characteristic which is an adverse effect of the high impedance to the second grid and this results in an improvement in the high-frequency transmission characteristic. Also, there is the effect of improving the frequency bandwidth and reducing the consumption of power.
