  • Patent number: 10822089
Abstract: A waste bin device of an aircraft lavatory unit is provided. A chute, waste flap, and waste container are formed from a material having fire resistance performance. A fire spreading prevention space that prevents fire from spreading to the outside of a waste bin device main body due to a flame occurring when inserted waste catches fire is formed inside the waste bin device main body at a storing position of the waste container positioned with regard to a lower portion of the chute. A maintaining portion maintains the waste container at a storing position. The maintaining portion includes a first maintaining portion that maintains from a vertical direction a condition where an upper portion of the waste container and lower portion of the chute are aligned, and a second maintaining portion that maintains the condition from a direction orthogonal to the vertical direction, at the storing position.

A cylinder of a nozzle body is inserted through the interior and exterior of the tank body via a nozzle body insertion hole in the tank body. A skirt is provided on an end portion of the cylinder, and expands annularly from the end portion of the cylinder in the interior of the tank body. A sealing member is interposed between an inner surface of the tank body and the skirt around the nozzle body insertion hole. A spacer member is disposed on an outer surface of the tank body around the cylinder. By tightening a nut on a male screw of the cylinder of the nozzle body, a portion of the tank body around the nozzle body insertion hole is sandwiched by the skirt of the nozzle body and the spacer member.

  • Publication number: 20170217591
Abstract: A storage rack is mounted on a wall panel via a reinforcing thin sheet and a synthetic resin rivet. The reinforcing thin sheet is mounted on the inner surface of the surface member at a location at which the storage rack is arranged. A rivet insertion hole is formed penetrating the surface member and the reinforcing thin sheet. Leg pieces of the pre-assembled rivet are inserted into the rivet insertion hole from the mounting hole in the storage rack, and a flange portion is brought into contact with a second vertical panel. An expanding shaft portion of the expansion member (30) is pushed into an inner peripheral portion of an expanded member, forming leg piece parts expanded to a dimension larger than the diameter of the rivet insertion hole on the leg piece parts projecting from the reinforcing thin sheet.

  • Publication number: 20160264229
Abstract: An aircraft interior panel material includes a core member and surface members attached to both surfaces of the core member. The core member includes a plate member composed of balsa wood and having a rectangular shape and uniform thickness. Both surfaces of the plate member in the thickness direction are flat surfaces. Balsa wood is a light weight natural material whereby environmental impact can be reduced. Both surfaces of the plate member in the thickness direction are impregnated with flame retardant, which reduces the flammability of the balsa wood. Impregnation of the plate member with the flame retardant may be performed by: spraying the flame retardant; by immersing the plate member in the flame retardant; or upon the plate member being immersed in the flame retardant, by applying a pressure larger than the pressure at the depth where the plate member is immersed or cycles thereof to the plate member.
