  • Patent number: 5703866
Abstract: A disk-changing device is disclosed which is able to house a plurality of disk-shaped recording media, and is capable of miniaturization. The recording media are arrayed in one orientation, and the play-back mechanism selects one desired disk, takes it out and performs a predetermined operation such as play-back on the data recorded on the disk. The play-back mechanism is constructed to be capable of movement between the housing positions of the recording media. This movement is based on a plurality of pairs of plate cams which are provided on the inside of the chassis of the device and are able to move reciprocally, and on cam followers which are provided in the play-back mechanism and are inserted into the cams of the plate cams. The shape of the cam is a back-switching stepped shape, with the result that it is constructed in such a way that the amount of movement of the play-back mechanism in the horizontal direction is small. Consequently, the volume of the device as a whole can be kept low.

  • Patent number: 5456453
Abstract: A guide plate having an arcuate groove (70) is fixed to the chassis. The guide groove (70) has a first bend (71) at one end, a second bend (72) at the other end, and a third bend (73) at an intermediate position therein. A slide member (8) is provided in the guide groove (70). A coil spring (61) is provided between the slide member (8) and an engagement member (11) of the floating section (1). The slide member (8) is engaged in one of the bends (72-73) in accordance with the angle of installation of a disc player to the horizon or vertical. The coil spring (61) is set so as to extend vertically at all times to support the floating section.

  • Patent number: 4672484
Abstract: A tape player is disclosed, whereby mode plates of the fast forward side and of the reverse side, each having an exclusive driving system and a head plate coupled at least with one of the mode plates and making a forward movement are provided; two electromagnetic plungers are disposed, each of which locks each of the mode plates at a position corresponding to the advanced position of the head plate; a joint plate is disposed rotatably with respect to each of the mode plate; with this joint plate is linked a fast forward and reverse drive plate moving from the central play position toward the left and right fast forward and reverse positions depending on the direction of the rotation of the joint plate; and on said head plate is disposed an engaging part with which a part of the fast forward and reverse plate is engaged, when the fast forward and reverse plate is in the central play position and the head plate advances.
