The image is read under the setting condition based on the setting condition information selected according to the input by the user of the setting condition information indicating the displayed setting conditions.

    Abstract: A thermal treatment apparatus has a plurality of thermal treatment chambers in which an object to be treated is thermally treated while being transported, and at least one pair of two adjacent thermal treatment chambers of which inside temperatures are different from each other. The thermal treatment chambers are connected through a thermal insulating structural member, whereby thermal conduction between the chambers, such as muffles, is prevented to reduce a heat loss caused in the thermal treatment apparatus. Therefore, input thermal energy which is necessary to carry out a predetermined thermal treatment is significantly reduced without affecting quality and yield of the object.

    Abstract: A gas floating-transporting apparatus transports a material to be treated along a predetermined direction in a thermal space so as to thermally treat the material to be treated. The apparatus includes a gas floating mechanism and a transporting mechanism. The gas floating mechanism includes a gas ejection device which expels the gas toward a portion of the material to be treated on which a floating force is acted so as to float the material to be treated, and a gas supply device which supplies the gas to the gas ejection means. The transporting mechanism includes an abutting member which abuts a trailing end of the floated material to be treated and moves along the predetermined direction, and which pushes the material to be treated by the movement thereof, whereby the floated material to be treated is moved along the predetermined direction.
