    Abstract: In a brake pedal apparatus (50) of the invention, an engagement condition between an engagement means (15) and an L-shaped member (43) is maintained and a second lever member (2a2) pivots with a second pivot shaft (13) being the center, setting a small lever ratio, if a pedal force (Fp) is equal to or less than a set value (Fp0) when a brake pedal (2) is depressed while the engaging means (15) and the L-shaped member (43) are in the engagement condition. If the pedal force (Fp) exceeds the set value (Fp0), the engagement between the engaging means (15) and the L-shaped member (43) is cancelled, and the engaging means (15) moves while causing the L-shaped member (43) to pivot. An engaging-and-connecting lever (45) disengages from a linear portion (43b), and the engaging-and-connecting lever (45) pivots so that its latch pawl latches onto teeth (47a) of the second lever member (2a2), joining the first and second lever members (2a1), (2a2) unitarily.

    Abstract: Provided is a method of designing a semiconductor device in which power supply voltages can be applied individually and clock jitter is suppressed to avoid lowering of logic operation rate. Specifically, plural power supply lines (WL1) electrically connected to power supply bumps (BP1, BP2) are disposed in parallel to the lateral array of the power supply bumps (BP1, BP2), and power supply lines (WL2) of the lower layer which are electrically connected to the power supply lines (WL1) are disposed in parallel to each other so as to be orthogonal to the power supply lines (WL1) when viewed from above. Power supply voltages (V1, V2) are assigned to two power supply lines (WL1) that are nearest neighbors across an array of the power supply bumps (BP1), and power supply voltages (G1, G2) are assigned to two power supply lines (WL1) that are nearest neighbors across an array of the power supply bumps (BP2).

    Abstract: In a brake pedal apparatus, as a brake pedal is depressed when an engaging device and a receiving portion are engaged with each other, a second lever member pivots about a second pivot pin. At this point, when the pedaling force is smaller than a threshold value, the engagement between the engaging device and the receiving portion is maintained so that the second lever member pivots about the second pivot pin. In this state, the pedal leverage is set to be a smeller ratio. As the pedaling force exceeds the threshold, the engaging device is disengaged from the receiving portion. Then, the first and second lever members are coupled by a stopper portion to pivot together about a first pivot pin. Therefore, the pedal leverage is changed to a larger ratio.

    Abstract: A brake system 1 of the invention comprises a brake pedal 2, a booster 3 which boosts the input force applied by the brake pedal 2 and outputs the boosted force, a travel amplifying mechanism 4 which amplifies the travel of an output shaft of the booster 3 and outputs the amplified travel, a master cylinder 5 which develops master cylinder pressure when the output from the travel amplifying mechanism 4 is applied to the master cylinders 5, and wheel cyclinders 6 which develop braking forces when the master cyclinder pressure is introduced into the wheel cyclinders. By the travel amplifying mechanism 4, the travel of the brake pedal 3 in the initial stage of operation is amplified by the travel amplifying mechanism and is then transmitted to the master cylinder 5, whereby the idle stroke of the operating member caused by various idle portions in stroke in the brake system can be effectively shortened.

    Abstract: An air drier apparatus including a housing having an open bottom end, a drying agent storage casing disposed within the housing and a bottom end cover blocking the open bottom end of the housing is provided with a securing plate member which is positioned within the bottom portion of the drying agent storage casing and has a lock nut incorporated thereon. A single bolt member engages the lock nut and secures the bottom portion of the storage casing to the bottom end cover. A moisture sensing member is disposed in position within either the housing or bottom end cover in such manner as to monitor the moisture content of the compressed air existing in a purge chamber defined between the housing and the drying agent storage casing. A belt-like fixing member is placed around the outer circumference of the housing for mounting the air drier apparatus.
