  • Patent number: 11705965
Abstract: An ONU includes a communication unit, an abnormal light emission prevention unit, and a control unit that transmits a data signal and a transmission permission signal to the communication unit and transmits the transmission permission signal to the abnormal light emission prevention unit between a transmission start time and a transmission end time. When the transmission permission signal is received, the communication unit, transmits an optical signal to an OLT, and transmits an operation signal to the abnormal light emission prevention unit during the transmission of the optical signal. The abnormal light emission prevention unit transmits a stop signal to the communication unit when a difference between a time for which the transmission permission signal is received and a time for which the operation signal is received is greater than or equal to a threshold value. The communication unit stops when the stop signal is received.

  • Patent number: 8120826
Abstract: A holographic memory device is described which records and reproduces binary image data by irradiating a holographic recording medium with signal light and reference light. The holographic memory device includes a system for aligning polarization of the signal light and reference light on the holographic recording medium by guiding the signal light and the reference light to be coaxially opposed. The holographic memory device further includes a random-phase modulation multiplex recorder and spatial-shift multiplex recorder that, together with the system for aligning polarization, significantly enhances recording density and improves recording capacity.

  • Publication number: 20090122376
Abstract: A holographic memory in which a disk recording medium having a mechanism for operating an optical pick-up system is used, signal and reference light beams are so coaxially directed as to be opposed, the polarization planes of the signal with each other on the disk recording medium and which is well compatible with existing techniques and high in cost performance when manufactured as a product. The reflection holographic memory comprises random-phase modulation multiplex recording means disposed in the light guide of the signal and/or reference light beams and a spatial-shift multiplex recording means so as to increase the recording capacity. Signals are recorded in the thickness direction of the disk so as to further increase the recoding capacity.
