  • Publication number: 20220341070
Abstract: Provided are a heat-insulating and sound-absorbing material improved in construction workability, and a partition wall in which degradation in sound insulation performance is suppressed. The heat-insulating and sound-absorbing material 1 is comprised of an agglomerate of inorganic fibers, wherein the agglomerate has a density of 10 to 20 kg/m3 and the inorganic fibers of the agglomerate have a length-weighted average fiber diameter of 2.0 to 8.7 ?m, and wherein the agglomerate contains: 20 to 66% of inorganic fibers having a length-weighted average fiber diameter of less than 4.0 ?m; and 13 to 58% of inorganic fibers having a length-weighted average fiber diameter of 7.0 ?m or more. The partition wall comprises a hollow wall portion, and the above heat-insulating and sound-absorbing material installed in the hollow wall portion.

  • Patent number: 8387417
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to uniformly disperse fibrous material such as short glass fibers so as to be distributed on a collection conveyor, without using compressed air for dispersion of the fibrous material. The present invention provides a method for collecting fibrous material, wherein the fibrous material fiberized by a spinner of a fiberizing unit is dispersed by a hollow bucket disposed just under the spinner, so as to be collected on a collection conveyor disposed below the hollow bucket, comprising: forming said hollow bucket by connecting a blasting section having an oval opening at its lower end, with a waistline section as a lower end of a hopper section having a circular shape in cross section, and deforming the inner surface of the blasting section toward said oval opening, thereby dispersing the fibrous material dropped in the hollow bucket in a width direction of the collection conveyor from the blasting section, so as to be collected on the collection conveyor.

  • Patent number: 7958752
Abstract: A method for distributing fibrous material, wherein fibrous material, which is fiberized by a spinner of a fiberizing unit, is accumulated on a collection conveyor disposed under the spinner, is characterized by rotatably disposing a hollow cylindrical bucket at a position just under the spinner, the hollow cylindrical bucket having a two-stage structure comprising an upper stage part and a lower stage part, the lower stage part being inclined at an angle with respect to a rotary axis of the hollow cylindrical bucket; and rotating the hollow cylindrical bucket, dispersing the fibrous material in the hollow cylindrical bucket and accumulating the fibrous material on the collection conveyor after flowing down the fibrous material in the hollow cylindrical bucket.

  • Patent number: 6841230
Abstract: A long-fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin sheet comprises short strands, each of which has a width of from 0.2 to 5 mm and a length of from 10 to 150 mm and is made of a unidirectionally long-fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin. The short strands are oriented at random and are fixed together at intersections thereof. The long-fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin sheet has a basis weight of from 30 to 500 g/m2 and is provided with openings therein. The long-fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin sheet can be produced by evenly spreading and piling up short strands of substantially circular or elliptical sections, and subjecting the short strands to pressureless hot-melt adhesion or to hot-melt compression bonding under pressure such that the sheet has a basis weight of from 30 to 500 g/m2 and is provided with openings therein. The short strands of the substantially circular or elliptical sections have an average diameter of from 0.1 to 1.

  • Patent number: 6686034
Abstract: A new process for producing a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin molded product with a high mechanical strength and no heat substantial deterioration of the resin, by an efficient heating without applying shear stress to the fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin base material and a molded product, for example, a tiptoe core for a safety shoe produced by said process are provided. The fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin base material P1 in a string form or a tape form is scattered and accumulated in a vessel such as tube 11, and a heating gas passed to the accumulated base material to melt heat, and preferably press by a plunger 15, the base material P1, whereby a molten mass P2 is formed, and then the molten mass P2 is dislocated to a mold to be press-mold. Said base material preferably satisfies the following formula: {fraction (1/100)}≦&rgr;1/&rgr;0≦½, wherein &rgr;0 means a density where said base material is scattered and accumulated and &rgr;0 means a true density of said base material.
