Abstract: A seal seals a bearing internal space in a bearing apparatus for a vehicle. The seal includes a core and a first elastic member attached to the core. The core includes a first tubular portion and a first flange portion. An outer peripheral surface of the first tubular portion is arranged so as to face an inner peripheral surface of an outer ring of the bearing apparatus. The first elastic member has a thick portion and a thin portion provided on the outer peripheral surface of the first tubular portion. The thick portion is arranged at an end of the first elastic member that is away from the bearing internal space in an axial direction of the bearing apparatus. The thin portion extends from the thick portion toward an end of the first elastic member that is opposite to the thick portion.
