  • Patent number: 9859767
Abstract: An electric motor has an end cap assembly having a ground connection. The motor has a housing, a brush assembly including brushes, electrical components and a terminal holder, an end cap, and a ground plate. The brush assembly is secured in an open end of the housing. The end cap is positioned on an outer side of the brush assembly and fixed to the housing. The ground plate is disposed between and is resiliently compressed by the brush assembly and the end cap. The plate includes a plurality of elastic structures. Each elastic structure resiliently bears against corresponding leads of at least some of the electrical components. The ground plate is electrically connected to at least one of the housing and the end cap to accomplish a ground connection.

  • Patent number: 9467028
Abstract: An electric motor has a stator, a rotor, two motor terminals and a filter circuit for suppressing electromagnetic interference. The filter circuit includes a flexible circuit assembly having a FPCB. Multiple filter elements are mounted to the FPCB. There are less connection points between the filter circuit and the motor terminals, which leads to higher reliability of the motor.

  • Patent number: 8408181
Abstract: A throttle control module for controlling a throttle, comprises: a BLDC motor; a gear train connecting the motor to the throttle; and a throttle position sensor. A PWM module is connected to the throttle position sensor and generates a pulse-width modulation sequence according to the signal from the throttle position sensor and a desired throttle position signal. A decoder module generates commutation logic for the motor based on the signal from the throttle position sensor. A motor controller controls commutation of the motor according to the pulse-width modulation sequence and the commutation logic.

  • Patent number: 7800266
Abstract: An electric motor has a wound rotor having a shaft, a rotor core, a commutator and windings wound about the rotor core and connected to the commutator. It has a stator confronting the rotor; brush gear connecting the commutator to motor terminals; first and second bearings for rotatably supporting the rotor, and an oil stopper fitted to the shaft between the commutator and the first bearing for preventing oil migrating along the shaft from the first bearing reaching the commutator. The oil stopper is of high temperature material, preferably a metal such as brass, aluminum and steel.
