    Abstract: A silica composite particle includes a silica particle and a compound in which a metal atom selected from the group consisting of Ti, Al, Zr, V, and Mg bonds to an organic group through oxygen, the silica particle being surface-treated with the compound. A coverage of a surface of the silica composite particle with the metal atom is 0.01 at % or more and 30 at % or less. When a binding energy peak of O1s in an oxide of the metal atom is assumed to be MO1s, a binding energy peak of O1s in SiO2 is assumed to be SO1s, and a binding energy peak of O1s in the silica composite particle is assumed to be MSO1s, the binding energy peaks being detected by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, the formula 0.000452×X2?0.059117×X+SO1s<MSOs?(SO1s?MO1s)/100×X+SO1s is satisfied.

The present invention is a single-pass inkjet recording method using an ink set including at least two active ray-curing color inks, and a recording medium having thermal conductivity of less than 0.10 W/(m·K) and thickness of 0.4 mm or more. The ink set containing two color inks satisfy only condition (a), and the ink set containing three or more color inks satisfy conditions (a) and (b): (a) most downstream color ink has a gelation temperature which is 3.0° C. to 15.0° C. higher than that of most upstream color ink, and (b) second or subsequent color ink from the most upstream position in conveyance direction has a gelation temperature which is the same as or higher than that of an adjacent color ink at the upstream position.

    Abstract: A frequency conversion method and a frequency conversion circuit which enlarge the frequency difference between the upper and lower sidebands of the output signal so as to enable the undesired sideband to be easily eliminated by a filter even in a case where the frequency of the input signal is low. First, a first excitation signal having a first excitation frequency (Fp) is modulated by an input signal (a) of a predetermined frequency (F1) to produce two sidebands and thereby generate a first intermediate signal (b). Next, a second excitation signal having a second excitation frequency (Fq) lower than the first excitation frequency (Fp) by exactly a frequency twice the frequency of the input signal (a) is modulated by the input signal (a) to produce two sidebands and thereby generate a second intermediate signal (c).
