  • Patent number: 9454517
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a device, a method, and a computer-readable recording medium, all of which reduce the processing load when a document is opened, and improve the operability for editing a document. A smartphone includes a touch-screen display and a controller. The controller displays a virtual keyboard and a document area which displayed an editing document inputted via the virtual keyboard, on the touch-screen display. The controller maintains displaying of the virtual keyboard while switching the editing document over from a first document to the second document, in a case in which a touch operation to switch the editing document over from the first document to the second document is performed.

  • Publication number: 20150363100
Abstract: In one aspect, when detecting an event such as receiving emails, missed calls, a schedule notification, or the like, a mobile electronic device executes a process for expanding a first operation part associated with the event on a display module and displaying a second operation part indicating a detail of the event within the expanded first operation part. For example, upon detecting an operation applied onto the first operation part via the touch screen, the mobile electronic device executes a process associated with the first operation part, and upon detecting an operation applied onto the second operation part, the mobile electronic device executes a process associated with the second operation part.

  • Patent number: 9098236
Abstract: According to an aspect, an electronic device includes a display unit, a detecting unit, and a control unit, and composes a mail that includes an image and a text. The display unit displays a first screen and a second screen in such a manner that the first screen and the second screen do not overlap each other. The first screen displays an overview of the mail, and the second screen edits an image or a text as an element to be added to the mail. The detecting unit detects an operation. When an operation made on the second screen is detected by the detecting unit, the control unit updates the overview of the mail that is displayed on the first screen in accordance with the operation.

  • Patent number: 8862623
Abstract: A communication terminal provides at least two modes of operation. When a first mode (child mode) is selected, predetermined functions such as search queries are restricted. In a second (normal, adult mode), a search query is transmitted from the communication terminal to an external search server that returns results of the search query to the communication terminal for display. In the first mode, the search query is not transmitted to the external search server. Instead, information associated with the search query is extracted from dictionary data that is stored in a memory within the communication terminal. The extracted data is displayed on the communication terminal as the search result. The dictionary data may include general terms and information that is biographic, geographic, pictorial, encyclopedic, etc., that is installed as an initial setting or is later downloaded with administrative permission.

  • Patent number: 7452644
Abstract: An electrophotographic photosensitive member capable of outputting an image in which a defect such as a ghost is suppressed even in a high-temperature-and-high-humidity environment, and in which a defect such as a change in density due to an abrupt change in light-area potential at an initial stage or a ghost due to long-term durable use is suppressed even in a low-humidity environment; and a process cartridge and an electrophotographic apparatus each having the electrophotographic photosensitive member; are provided. The electrophotographic photosensitive member has a layer which comprises a compound having a specific structure between a support and a charge-generating layer.

  • Patent number: 7333752
Abstract: An electrophotographic apparatus is disclosed using an electrophotographic photosensitive member which employs light with a short wavelength (380 nm to 500 nm) as image exposure light and is good in photoelectric conversion efficiency on the whole at that wavelength. The electrophotographic photosensitive member is composed of a reflecting layer, a charge generation layer and a charge transport layer formed on a support. The total reflectance and specular reflectance of the reflecting layer are 30% or more (with respect to a standard white board) and less than 15%, respectively, at that short-wavelength light. The absorbance of the charge generation layer is 1.0 or less at that short-wavelength light.
