Abstract: A Cd-free blue fluorescent quantum dot with a narrow fluorescence FWHM. The quantum dot does not contain cadmium and its fluorescence FWHM is 25 nm or less. The quantum dot is preferably a nanocrystal containing zinc and selenium or zinc and selenium and sulfur. Further, the quantum dot preferably has a core-shell structure in which the nanocrystal serves as a core and the surface of the core is coated with a shell.

Abstract: Disclosed is a coating liquid for impurity diffusion comprising: (A) a polyvinyl alcohol resin having a 1,2-diol structural unit represented by the following general formula (1): wherein R1, R2 and R3 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an organic group, X represents a single bond or a bond chain, and R4, R5 and R6 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an organic group; (B) an impurity; and (C) water. The coating liquid for impurity diffusion is highly stable, and exhibits excellent printing properties; for example, when printing is continuously carried out for a longer period of time or resumed after a pause. Accordingly, the coating liquid for impurity diffusion is particularly suitable as a coating liquid for impurity diffusion for use for applying by screen printing.

Abstract: Microphone mechanisms are disposed on both sides of a flash mechanism provided in a video camera's front cabinet, and the microphone mechanisms are incorporated in the front cabinet. The video camera 1 includes: a camera body 2; a front cabinet 3 provided at the front of the camera body 2; a viewfinder 4 provided on an upper face 2a of the camera body 2; a grip belt 5 provided on a first side face 2b of the camera body 2; and a flash mechanism 8 provided in the camera body 2. In the front cabinet 3, microphone mechanisms 9 are provided on both the right and left sides sandwiching the flash mechanism 8.

Abstract: An arrangement configuration of a battery locking mechanism in an electronic apparatus is taken into consideration to make further downsizing of the electronic apparatus possible. The battery locking mechanism includes a battery mounting section (25) provided on a back surface side of an image pickup apparatus (1) for removably receiving a battery (24) thereon, a locking member (140) disposed along a rear surface side of the battery mounting section (25) and partly projecting to a battery mounting surface of the battery mounting section (25) for engaging with the battery (24) mounted on the battery mounting section (25) to lock the battery (24), and an unlocking member (150) disposed for sliding movement in a direction perpendicular to the battery mounting surface of the battery mounting section (25) for engaging with the locking member (140) to release the locking of the battery (24). The locking member (140) and the unlocking member (150) are disposed in an L shape.

Hence, a disc-like recording medium cannot be attached to and detached from the disc type image pickup apparatus without difficulty.

Abstract: A unified compact video camera and video cassette recording and/or reproducing apparatus (VCR) has a video camera unit and a VCR unit which includes a cassette holder arranged in a common hollow body at opposite sides of its median plane, and a grip strap extends along the body at the outside of the cassette holder so that the opposite side of the body is available for the positioning thereat of various control switches for operating the video camera and VCR units.
