  • Patent number: 10087822
Abstract: A control apparatus is configured, after a torque increase request to increase an engine torque is made, to perform an air supply operation using an electric compressor where it is predicted that a pressure ratio of a turbo-compressor will become less than 1 after a throttle valve is opened accompanying the torque increase request, and, on the other hand, not to perform the air supply operation where it is predicted that the pressure ratio will not become less than 1 after the throttle valve is opened.

  • Publication number: 20160061104
Abstract: An internal combustion engine system includes: an electric supercharger and a turbo-compressor that are arranged in series in that order; a first intake bypass passage that bypasses the turbo-compressor; and a first intake bypass valve that opens and closes the first intake bypass passage. In a case where a request to decelerate the internal combustion engine is issued during driving of the compressor wheel by the electric motor, driving of the compressor wheel by the electric motor is stopped simultaneously with the start of an opening operation by the first intake bypass valve.

  • Patent number: 6836566
Abstract: A method and a system in a computing environment which are capable of accurately pointing to any desired position in displayed images of various shapes. Pointing to a desired position on a displayed image is performed by using position correction information (position information of a hot spot) and an associated image as a template. A hot spot is an arbitrary point specified in advance in a template image, and a hot spot position in the template image is used as correction information of a pointing position. First, an image in the vicinity of a display coordinate obtained from a pointing device is compared with at least one template image. A closest matching template image and its position on an image are determined, and a final pointing position is calculated from the position on the image and position correction information (position information of a hot spot) associated with the template image.

  • Patent number: 6782509
Abstract: A method and a system for embedding information in document data that include text written in a page description language. First, an analysis is made of the layout of the document data in which information is to be embedded. Then, based on the analysis of the layout, a sequence of locations is generated whereat the information is to be embedded. A page description of the text at a determined location is changed in accordance with the embedded information. As a result, the information is embedded in document data that include text written in a page description language. The sequence of locations is generated by producing a string of sequential pseudo-random numbers.

  • Patent number: 6751509
Abstract: A class manager stores the information which is divided into hierarchical classes, wherein each class includes a policy for showing how to treat the information according to the security level, and information generating rules showing how to generate the information. A shared data space temporarily stores information. An instance generator generates new information based on the information generating rules and writes it in the shared data space. A security enforcement provides the information with controlling as complying with the policy relating to the information in the shared data space. A monitor monitors the writing and generation of the information in the shared data space.

  • Patent number: 6009194
Abstract: Information in the form is analyzed based on adjacency relationships among cells in the forms. By using adjacency relationships, a format may be provided for forms which are divided into cells by separators such as lines, notwithstanding that the positions and sizes of the cells may change, as long as their order remains unchanged. In particular, cells are extracted from the image data of a form. Adjacency relationships among the extracted cells are determined. The determined adjacency relationships are compared with a set of adjacency relationships are compared with a set of adjacency relationships in order to identify the extracted cells. Information contained in the form is then recognized based upon the identified extracted cells. In particular, the information contained in the form is recognized, based upon the identified cell in which the information is contained.

  • Patent number: 5509092
Abstract: Characters are recognized by a conventional OCR apparatus and converted into outline font form. The system includes a recognition device for optically reading printed characters and recognizing those to obtain information on the recognized characters consisting of text code information and character layout information, an outline font table for retaining outline font data of characters, a character box enlarging function for enlarging enclosing rectangles of the recognized characters obtained by the recognition device by a ratio of an outline font character box to a black pixel component to be drawn in the character box while referring to the outline font table, and modifying the information on the recognized characters by using the enlarged enclosing rectangles as new character boxes of the outline font.
