  • Patent number: 10304187
Abstract: According to an embodiment, an image processing apparatus includes an acquirer, first and second calculators, and a selector. The acquirer acquires a first image of an object captured in a first imaging direction and a second image of the object captured in a second imaging direction. The first calculator calculates, for each pixel included in the respective first and second images, likelihood of whether the pixel is included in a region of the object on the basis of feature information indicating image feature. The second calculator calculates, on the basis of the likelihood, a degree of similarity between a region of interest in the first image and a candidate region in the second image. The candidate region is a candidate of a corresponding region corresponding to the region of interest. The selector selects the candidate region serving as the corresponding region on the basis of the degree of similarity.

  • Publication number: 20120274749
Abstract: According to an embodiment, a stereoscopic video display device displays images for a plurality of view point directions on a displaying device while switching between the images at predetermined time intervals. The stereoscopic video display device includes a calculator configured to calculate a crosstalk amount of a first image for one view point direction, which is an image to be corrected, by using a pixel value of the first image, a pixel value of a second image for a view point direction different from that of the first image, the second image being an image to be displayed at a time before the first image, and characteristics data including response characteristics of the displaying device; and a corrector configured to correct the first image by using the crosstalk amount.

  • Publication number: 20120154555
Abstract: A correction unit corrects gradation of pixels of a processing-target image signal for the right eye or the left eye. A writing unit writes the corrected image signal into display pixels of an image displaying unit. A reached level calculation unit calculates a reached gradation which is a gradation to be reached by each display pixel after one sub-frame period after the corrected image signal is written into the display pixel, on the basis of response characteristics of the display pixel, respectively. A timing controlling unit controls opening/closing timing of the glasses according to writing timing of the writing unit. The correction unit corrects the gradation of the pixels of the processing-target image signal, respectively, on the basis of a difference between the writing timing of the writing unit and the opening/closing timing of the glasses, and the reached gradation of the pixels in an immediately previous sub-frame.
