  • Publication number: 20130294012
Abstract: An electrochemical device includes a casing, a storage element, an electrolyte, a wiring, and an adhesive layer. The casing forms a liquid chamber, the liquid chamber having a bottom surface provided with a recess. The storage element is housed in the liquid chamber. The electrolyte is housed in the liquid chamber. The wiring is connected to the recess. The adhesive layer is made of a conductive adhesive filled in the recess and configured to coat the wiring and cause the storage element to adhere to the casing.

  • Publication number: 20130202951
Abstract: An electrochemical device which is free from deterioration of properties due to a process of joining a rigid case and a conductive lid is provided. A welded part PP of a conductive lid 12 and a welded frame member 11d are joined each other by laser welding. A weld bead for joining the welded part PP and the welded frame member 11d is not exposed to an internal space of a rigid package 10; therefore, fused material, the coagulum thereof, or the like created during laser welding are prevented from entering into the internal space of the rigid package 10.

  • Publication number: 20130183575
Abstract: An electrochemical device which can keep a conductive lid properly joined to a rigid case is provided. A conductive lid 12 has a reinforcement part RP inside of a ring-shaped welded part PP. The welded part PP of the conductive lid 12 and the welded frame member 11d of a rigid case 11 are joined to each other by welding. Even if stress of risen internal pressure due to reflow soldering or the like concentrates at the interface between the rigid case 11 and the conductive lid 12, the reinforcement part RP relieves the stress.

  • Publication number: 20130143105
Abstract: [Object] To provide an electrochemical device that permits a thin package, as well as securely prevents an electrolyte or gas in an internal space from leaking outside even when temperature rise occurs in the electrochemical device during the process where the electrochemical device is reflow soldered to a circuit board or encapsulated into an IC card. [Solution] In the electrochemical device RB1, the main body of the package PA includes first cover plate 15, first terminal plate 12, frame plate 14, second terminal plate 13, and second cover plate 16 stacked in this order and bonded at the facing surfaces. The electric storage element SD is encapsulated in internal space IS formed, between the cover plates 15, 16, by the through holes 12a1, 13a1 in the frame sections 12a, 13a of the terminal plates 12, 13 and the through hole 14a in the frame plate 14.

  • Publication number: 20130108917
Abstract: An electrochemical device free of any void connecting the inside and outside of a film package upon reflow soldering may be provided. Electrochemical device RB1 according to one embodiment comprises film package 14 having terminal-sealing sections 14c; electric storage element 11; seal auxiliary members 13; terminals 12 each electrically connected to the electric storage element 11 at one end and led out of the film package 14 via the corresponding terminal-sealing section 14c at the other end. The film package 14 is provided with support member 14d on its front edge. Provided on a part of the terminals 12 are heat seal auxiliary members 13, the rear ends of which are integrated with the terminal-sealing section 14c by thermal fusion bonding. The other end of the heat seal auxiliary member 13 projects outwardly from the terminal-sealing section 14c so as to be disposed on the support member 14d.

  • Publication number: 20120134075
Abstract: In an exemplified lithium ion capacitor, a negative electrode 20 has a first layer 21 and a second layer 22, the first layer 21 and second layer 22 are laminated to each other, and a lithium metal sheet 60 is placed between the first layer 21 and second layer 22, and accordingly one side of the lithium metal sheet 60 in the thickness direction contacts the first layer 21, while the other side in the thickness direction contacts the second layer 22. Since lithium in the lithium metal sheet 60 is easily doped by an active material near a contact part, the fact that both sides of the lithium metal sheet 60 in the thickness direction contact an active material allows for efficient pre-doping and consequent improvement of productivity.
