Abstract: When a remote-control signal reception portion receives an input to direct take-in of an image, a capture-processing portion captures, if the input to direct the take-in is received through the receiving device, an image signal that forms the display image to be displayed on the display portion as digital data. The digital data is stored in an external memory. In this case, a reduced image of an image corresponding to the currently captured digital data and at least one reduced image of the images corresponding to digital data captured in the memory in the past are displayed for a predetermined lapse of time at a predetermined display region in one portion on a display screen. The captured images may be respectively displayed and character-recognized character information contained in the displayed image as display information may be also utilized.

A display device receives an information signal from a base device, and displays main display information that is an image derived from a display signal of the information signal on an LCD. In the case where the display device displays a control panel for accepting an operation input from a user on the LCD, the display device controls a size change processor so that a size and a position of display of the main display information is so changed as not to overlap with display of the control panel.

Abstract: A media processing apparatus has an application processor having first and second applications and a media processor having an analyzing unit, a media module information holding unit, a music replay module, a voice conversation module, and an on-chip memory. Each of the modules has a plurality of operation modes and the analyzing unit performs switching to an optimum operation mode in response to a processing request from a user. This achieves optimum resource distribution during operation and allows a plurality of media processings to be performed in parallel.

Abstract: A document management system for managing a document together with property information thereof in a folder can respond to various user's needs by providing some latitude with the property information. When the document management system detects some actions related to a document registering operation with a designated folder by a user, the document management system starts a template attaching process for attaching a template (property information) associated with the designated folder to a newly registered document. Even if a plurality of templates are provided to the folder, the document management system can attach all the templates to the document. In detail, the document management system reads templates in a template information table based on template IDs obtained from a folder-template correspondence table and then provides the read templates to the document to be processed.
