Publication number: 20240103414Abstract: A fixing unit or device that can be used in an image forming apparatus includes a first heater element that is formed of a material that increases in electrical resistance with increases in temperature. A controller of the fixing unit is configured to vary a duty ratio of electric power applied to the first heater element during a start-up operation in which the temperature of the first heater element is raised to a target operating temperature. By varying the duty ratio during the start-up operation, changes in the resistance of the first heater element with the heating can be compensated. For example, the duty ratio can be increased during the course of the start-up to achieve the target operating temperature faster.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 1, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Inventors: Kiyotaka MURAKAMI, Kazuhiko KIKUCHI, Sasuke ENDO, Masaya TANAKA, Ryota SAEKI, Kousei MIYASHITA, Ryosuke KOJIMA, Yohei DOI, Yuki KAWASHIMA, Eiji SHINOHARA

Publication number: 20230139466Abstract: An image capturing device is provided on a working machine and takes a captured image of surroundings including an object around the working machine. A first setting part sets a detection region in the captured image where the object is detected. A responsive action part executes a predetermined responsive action in a case that the object is in the detection region in the captured image. The first setting part sets a boundary that is a limit of the detection region in the captured image. The boundary extends in a front orthogonal direction and has a certain shape.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 24, 2021Publication date: May 4, 2023Applicant: KOBELCO CONSTRUCTION MACHINERY CO., LTD.Inventor: Yuki KOJIMA

Patent number: 10545078Abstract: Staining nucleotides within chromosomes is an important technique used in cytogenetics to produce a visible karyotype by staining condensed chromosomes. Such techniques are useful, for example, in identifying genetic diseases through the photographic representation of the entire chromosome complement. Prior to the steps of selective dissolving and staining of nucleotides within the chromosomes an aging step is performed to increase the selective solubility between different nucleotides. Within the prior art this aging step is a time consuming process taking several days. Accordingly, it would be beneficial to provide a staining pretreatment method which can be performed in a short period of time.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 2016Date of Patent: January 28, 2020Assignee: Adstec CorporationInventors: Yuki Kojima, Kohei Sakashita

Publication number: 20100274476Abstract: A vehicle owner can express a display screen that displays a map in a color that matches an interior design. On a map view screen that displays a map for route guidance on a display screen, icons that indicate current navigation functions, and icons that indicate touch switches that are operated to change current navigation functions are displayed. A color change operation screen is used to change the color of the icons that indicate navigation functions and the icons that are operated to change navigation functions on the display screen. Accordingly, the display screen can be expressed in colors that match the interior design of the vehicle. Moreover, the colors of the map view screen used for route guidance do not change; only the icons that indicate navigation functions and icons that are operated to change navigation functions are changed. The general map colors are thus maintained according to natural usage conditions that blend into the overall design.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 18, 2008Publication date: October 28, 2010Applicant: Aisin AW Co.LtdInventors: Yuki Kojima, Sadafumi Higuchi, Tsuyoshi Hoshino, Naoki Maekawa
