  • Publication number: 20240131854
Abstract: A printing apparatus includes a printing unit configured to perform printing on a sheet, a conveying unit configured to convey a sheet to a print position of the printing unit, a motor configured to drive the conveying unit, and a control unit configured to control rotation of the motor. The control unit is capable of executing holding control of holding the motor at a stop position. The control unit is configured to decide a first output value, which is an output value of the motor in the holding control, in accordance with a second output value which is an output value of the motor before stopping at the stop position.

  • Publication number: 20240075757
Abstract: A printing apparatus includes a printing unit, a conveyance unit, a motor, and a control unit. The printing unit performs printing on a sheet. The conveyance unit conveys the sheet to a printing position for the printing unit. The motor drives the conveyance unit. The control unit executes control. The control unit stops the motor which is rotating at a target position, executes holding control to hold the motor at a stop position, and updates, during execution of the holding control, the target position to a position different than the target position based on a rotational speed of the motor.

  • Publication number: 20240070420
Abstract: According to an aspect of the present invention, an image forming apparatus includes: a unit configured to determine a first region, which is within a range from where a distance from a first edge of an image is a first value to a second value, and a second region, which is within a range from where a distance from the first edge is the second value to a third value; and a decision unit configured to, for each of a plurality of first pixels included in the first region and a plurality of second pixels included in the second region, decide an amount of reduction from an exposure amount, wherein the decision unit makes the amount of reduction of each of the plurality of first pixels larger than the amount of reduction of each of the plurality of second pixels.

  • Patent number: 9135718
Abstract: An image processing apparatus according to the present invention comprises: an acquisition unit that acquires a statistical value of pixel values for each divided region; a determination unit that compares for each divided region the statistical value of the divided region acquired by the acquisition unit with a first threshold and determines whether the divided region is as color region or a monochrome region; and a re-determination unit that compares a statistical value of an adjacent divided region with a second threshold, by which a divided region is more likely determined as a color region than by the first threshold, for each adjacent divided region, and re-determines whether the adjacent divided region is a color region or a monochrome region.

  • Patent number: 8780107
Abstract: A frequency of each gradation in an image for the left eye histogram is compared with a frequency of each gradation in an image for the right eye histogram. An integration histogram is generated using at least a larger one of the frequency of each gradation in the image for the left eye histogram and the frequency of each gradation in the image for the right eye histogram. A gradation correction parameter is set based on the generated integration histogram. The gradations of the image for the left eye and the image for the right eye are corrected using the gradation correction parameter.

  • Patent number: 8654260
Abstract: An image processing apparatus according to the present invention extracts a characteristic value of a luminance in relation to respective fields of an input video, and determines the presence of a scene change between adjacent fields. A gamma curve is then generated on the basis of the magnitude of the characteristic value. When a difference in the characteristic value between fields is larger than a predetermined value and a scene change does not exist, the gamma curve to be applied to a subsequent field is modified such that the correction characteristic of the gamma curve does not vary rapidly. The luminance is then corrected using the modified gamma curve.
