    Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a configuration that allows the corners of a sealing material to be appropriately cut. The liquid crystal display device is provided with a liquid crystal panel that includes: an annular sealing material that has a corner in plan view and is for sealing a liquid crystal layer between a first transparent substrate and a second transparent substrate; and a first panel cutting aid material that is embedded in the corner of the sealing material. The first panel cutting aid material has a height that matches the gap between the first transparent substrate and the second transparent substrate. The first panel cutting aid material has a surface that is exposed from the outer periphery of the sealing material.
