  • Patent number: 11126491
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes sensors for detecting a plurality of types of errors. The information processing apparatus identifies a type of an error detected by one of the sensors, acquires a result of diagnostic processing corresponding to the identified type of the error, and outputs error information indicating the identified type of the error, and diagnostic information about a component corresponding to the result of the diagnostic processing.

  • Patent number: 11095785
Abstract: Provided is an image reading apparatus in which a setting screen is displayed upon detecting that a document is placed on the document tray. In a case where a document is placed on an automatic document conveyance device, if a paper jam occurs while using the automatic document conveyance device, a screen of a paper jam is preferentially displayed even when a setting of automatically displaying a selection screen of a sheet thickness is set at the time. This prevents a specific screen desired to be continuously displayed from being hidden upon detecting that a document is placed on a document tray.

  • Patent number: 10659651
Abstract: An information processing apparatus that can appropriately delete data of an image forming apparatus used when remote support for an image forming apparatus is performed. The information processing apparatus provides remote support to an image forming apparatus through a relay server. For the remote support, the information processing apparatus acquires data used for remote support from the image forming apparatus through the relay server. The information processing apparatus controls execution of a deletion process of data cached in the information processing apparatus within the acquired data. In a preferable embodiment of the present invention, the information processing apparatus performs a deletion process of cache data when the remote support ends or when logged into the relay server.

  • Publication number: 20200110455
Abstract: An image forming apparatus is provided that can promptly make a transition to a sleep state without acquiring data of a part counter from an engine controller, power supply to which is stopped. The image forming apparatus includes a printer unit, and a controller unit that acquires, from the printer unit, data of a parts counter of at least one of a plurality of parts of the printer unit. The controller unit determines whether communication with the printer unit is performable when a sleep transition factor is received that transitions the image forming apparatus to the sleep state. Further, when the controller unit determines that communication with the printer unit is performable, the controller unit acquires the data of the part counter of the at least one of the parts of the printer unit.
