    Abstract: The rotating electric machine is provided with an inner ring fixed to a rotating shaft, an outer ring fixed to a base portion having a diameter larger than that of the inner ring, and a bearing that supports the rotating shaft. The base portion is provided with an insertion hole formed larger than the outer diameter of the outer ring, and the insertion hole accepting the rotating shaft penetrating therethrough. The outer ring is provided with an outer ring side flange portion protruding radially outside and being engaged with the base portion in the axial direction and fixed thereto. The outer ring side flange portion is provided in plural number in a circumferential direction at predetermined intervals. In the insertion hole, groove portions recessed radially outside at predetermined intervals in the circumferential direction is provided to fit with a shape of the outer ring side flange portion.

The magnet holding portion is reduced in size such that, in a state where the magnets are arrayed in the circumferential direction, an outer circumference of the magnets is reduced from an outer side toward an inner side in the radial direction.
