  • Patent number: 11807071
Abstract: An air-conditioning unit includes an air-conditioning case, a blower, and a cooling heat exchanger disposed at a position upstream of the blower. The blower includes a rotational shaft and a suction opening. The cooling heat exchanger includes a facing portion that overlaps with the suction opening in the axial direction and a non-facing portion that does not overlap with the suction opening in the axial direction. The air-conditioning case includes a projected region that is virtually formed by projecting the facing portion toward an upstream side of the air-conditioning case along the axial direction. The air-conditioning case defines introducing openings at positions outside of the projected region. At least a first one of the introducing openings is located on a side of the projected region opposite to at least a second one of the introducing openings.

  • Patent number: 11274670
Abstract: A blower includes a centrifugal fan and a partition wall disposed in a suction space in the centrifugal fan. The partition wall has a base portion extending along a fan central axis to partition the suction space into a first space for a first fluid and a second space for a second fluid. The partition wall has an enlarged portion connected to an end of the base portion on another side of the fan central axis. The enlarged portion covers a part of a fan boss. A clearance passage is defined between the enlarged portion and the fan boss and has a first space side opening and a second space side opening. The enlarged portion is biased in the suction space to the second space such that a pressure at the second space side opening is less than a pressure at the first space side opening.

  • Patent number: 11214113
Abstract: A vehicular air conditioning device includes an air conditioning case having first, second case introduction ports and first, second case discharge ports, and a fan. The first, second case discharge ports are offset upward and downward in an up-down direction relative to a rotation axis, respectively. A first inner guide surface of an inner guide plate is located on the one side of a second inner guide surface in the left-right direction. Air introduced through the first case introduction port is guided by the first inner guide surface to be drawn from a first passage into the fan, the air being blown upward to flow through the first case discharge port. Air introduced through the second case introduction port is guided by the second inner guide surface to be drawn from a second passage into the fan, the air being blown upward to flow through the second case discharge port.

  • Publication number: 20210331551
Abstract: An air conditioner for a vehicle includes a casing that forms an air passage through which air flows, a blower fan to blow out air, and a heating device to heat air. The casing includes a passage portion through which air flows, a warm air passage that allows air to flow to the heating device, and a bypass passage that allows air to bypass the heating device. A width dimension of the passage portion in a second direction is larger than that of the heating device in the second direction, and is smaller than a height dimension of the passage portion in a first direction.

  • Patent number: 11041656
Abstract: An opening and closing device includes a casing that defines an air passage, a slide door that includes a door main body slidable to open or close the air passage, and a sliding gear that is disposed on one side of the door main body in its width direction and includes first teeth in a sliding direction, and a drive gear that is rotatable around its axis line extending in the width direction and that includes second teeth in a circumferential direction around the axis line such that the first teeth and the second teeth are arranged in engagement with each other. When the drive gear rotates, a driving force is transmitted from the drive gear to the slide door through the sliding gear to slide the slide door. The door main body is restricted from shifting in the width direction due to the rotation of the drive gear.

  • Patent number: 10987991
Abstract: An air conditioning unit for a vehicle includes: an air conditioning case, a blower that draws air from an opening and blows the air radially outward from its rotation axis, a cooler disposed upstream of the blower, and a heater is disposed downstream of the blower. The air conditioning case includes an upper bypass passage through which the air bypasses the heater on an upper side of the heater, a lower bypass passage through which the air bypasses the heater on a lower side of the heater, a first opening provided downstream of the upper bypass passage, and a second opening provided downstream of the lower bypass passage. The opening of the blower faces an air outflow face of the cooler. A passage area of the upper bypass passage is larger than a passage area of the lower bypass passage.

  • Patent number: 10926604
Abstract: An air conditioner for performing air-conditioning of an interior of a vehicle cabin includes a casing, an evaporator, a blower, a controller, and a cooling passage. The casing defines a ventilation passage through which air flows from an air introduction port toward an air outlet. The evaporator cools the air flowing through the ventilation passage. The blower is disposed on a downstream side with respect to the evaporator in the ventilation passage and generates an airflow in the ventilation passage. The controller controls an output from the blower. The cooling passage causes a position located on a downstream side with respect to the blower in the ventilation passage to communicate with a position located on an upstream side with respect to the evaporator in the ventilation passage. A controller is installed in the cooling passage.

  • Patent number: 10899190
Abstract: An inner guide plate has an inner guide plate surface that guides air. An outer guide plate has an outer guide plate surface that guides the air toward a discharge port of the fan. In each of predetermined cross sections perpendicular to a rotation axis of the fan, a reference line is a line connecting the rotation axis and an outer guide end of the outer guide surface that is a radially inner end. In each of the predetermined cross sections, a guide line is a line connecting the rotation axis and an inner guide end of the inner guide surface that is a radially outer end. In each of the predetermined cross sections, a phase difference angle is an angle between the guide line and the reference line in a rotation direction of the fan. The phase difference angles of the predetermined cross sections are different from each other.
