  • Patent number: 9577238
Abstract: Disclosed is a flat-shaped battery including: a power generation element including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator, and an electrolyte; a cylindrical case formed of a conductor, housing the power generation element, and having a circular bottom and a circular opening; a sealing plate formed of a conductor and closing the opening; an insulating member interposed between the case and the sealing plate; and a plate-shaped current collector disposed between the case and the positive electrode. The current collector is welded to the case and is in contact with the positive electrode. A welding point where the current collector is welded to the bottom is set so as to allow contact between the positive electrode and a center portion of the current collector to be maintained when the case is deformed such that a center portion of the bottom is displaced outward of the case.

  • Publication number: 20130330601
Abstract: Disclosed is a coin battery including: a cylindrical battery can having a bottom portion, and a first side wall rising from the periphery of the bottom portion; a sealing plate having a top portion, and a second side wall extending from the periphery of the top portion along the inner side of the first side wall; a gasket interposed and compressed between the first side wall and the second side wall; and a power generation element sealed with the battery can and the sealing plate. In order to improve the battery capacity while ensuring leakage resistance, the second side wall is provided with a bulging portion bulging outward, and a part of the power generation element is disposed inside the bulging portion. The negative electrode is preferably in contact with the inner side of the bulging portion.

  • Patent number: 6440601
Abstract: A plurality of cells are disposed in close contact with each other with their longitudinal axes parallel to each other, and their electrode terminals that are juxtaposed at one end are electrically connected to each other with a connector piece. These cells thus joined together are inserted into and held within a frame body formed in one-piece with a pair of end face covers, connecting bar, and retaining piece, or alternatively, inserted into and held within a cell casing having a pair of end face covers, bottom wall, and partition boss formed integrally therewith.
