  • Patent number: 11861106
Abstract: A detection device includes a sensor including a driving electrode and detection electrodes and a controller detecting a non-contact target from signal waveforms acquired from the detection electrodes by applying a voltage to the driving electrode, the signal waveforms each indicating a change in signal strength over time. The controller discriminates a peak caused by the non-contact target on the basis of a time width from a rising start point of a peak to a peak top of the peak, a height from the rising start point of the peak to the peak top of the peak, and a slope of a rising side of the peak.

  • Patent number: 11803270
Abstract: A touch panel includes arranged touch electrodes, and a driver IC connected to each of the touch electrodes. The plurality of touch electrodes is grouped into a plurality of groups such that electrodes belonging to different groups are included in a range smaller than an object to be detected, such as a finger. The driver IC alternately or sequentially applies a driving voltage to the touch electrodes of the plurality of groups, detects a capacitance of each of the sensor electrodes, and detects, based on the detected capacitance, whether there is a touch.

  • Patent number: 11783741
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal panel and a driver that drives the liquid crystal panel. The driver includes a control unit that executes a display process of displaying an image on the liquid crystal panel, a touch detection process of detecting a touch on the liquid crystal panel, and a line defect determination process of determining the presence of a line defect in the liquid crystal panel. In the line defect determination process, the control unit applies a drive signal to each sensor electrode, determines whether a detection value detected from each of the sensor electrodes when the drive signal is applied meets a predetermined determination criterion, and determines that the line defect has occurred when the sensor electrodes whose detection values meet the determination criterion among the plurality of sensor electrodes are linearly distributed.

  • Patent number: 9976968
Abstract: There is provided a crack detection system in which a crack can be detected from a strain distribution of a part to be detected of an object. After taking the image of the part to be detected of the detection object by the imaging unit, the heat is applied by the heating unit. Furthermore, image of the part to be detected are taken again and an image analysis unit analyzes the images before and after applying the heat to acquire a strain distribution of the part to be detected, so that the crack can be detected based on difference in a state of strain between a place where the crack exist and the other place. Therefore, taking the images of the part to be detected including its coating layer enables the analysis to progress without removing the coating layer to detect the crack.
