  • Publication number: 20040247499
Abstract: The liquid fuel synthesis system according to the present invention includes a gas purifying apparatus (102) for adjusting components of a synthesis gas containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide or a synthesis gas containing hydrogen, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide to produce a purified gas, and a liquid fuel synthesis apparatus (300) for synthesizing a liquid fuel (309) using, as a raw material, the purified gas (301a) produced in the gas purifying apparatus. The gas purifying apparatus includes a hydrogen separating apparatus (120) and a bypass line (406) which bypasses the hydrogen separating apparatus. A part of the synthesis gas is passed through the hydrogen separating apparatus to produce high-purity hydrogen (j), and the produced high-purity hydrogen (j) is mixed with the synthesis gas which has passed through the bypass line to adjust the ratio of hydrogen to carbon monoxide in the purified gas or the ratio between hydrogen, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide in the purified gas.

  • Patent number: 6431982
Abstract: Using a game system, an operator performs a virtual play in which soccer player characters on a virtual field are divided into two teams that compete to handle a ball and to carry the ball into a rival-team goal. The system includes game progress control unit for repeatedly obtaining instructions inputted by the operator and for sequentially changing a game playing situation of the player characters by repeating calculation necessary for specifying the game playing situation based on the instructions; and display control unit for displaying, based on a calculated result by the game progress control unit, a play picture representing the game playing situation within a restricted area centered on a position of the ball in the field and a radar picture representing positions of the player characters in a range of the field wider than a range represented by the play picture in a manner reduced by a scale-down rate.

  • Patent number: 5239896
Abstract: Herein disclosed is a hydraulic servomechanism control system in an automatic transmission, for modulating the oil pressure of any hydraulic servomechanism to engage or release frictional engagement devices. The control system comprises: two pressure modulating mechanisms for modulating the oil pressure of said hydraulic servomechanisms; and a shutoff mechanism for shutting off, when one of said pressure modulating mechanisms is caused to communicate with said hydraulic servomechanism, the communication between the other pressure modulating mechanism and said hydraulic servomechanism.

  • Patent number: 5200854
Abstract: The object of the invention is to provide a large-screen projection-type display using a transmission-type screen, wherein the transmission-type screen is formed of two or more sheets 4, 7, is tilted toward the viewer's side with a small gap kept between the sheets, and is stable relative to the temperature and moisture change of the environment. The front sheet 4 provided on the viewer's side and the Fresnel sheet 7 provided on the projection source side are tilted forward by about 7.degree. toward the viewers. The springs 10 are extended through wires 9 to exert the tension on the front sheet 4 in the vertical direction. At the same time, the springs exert a pressure on the Fresnel sheet 7 in the vertical direction.

  • Patent number: 5195036
Abstract: A shift control system for an automatic transmission including a first transmission assembly for changing gear ratios in accordance with the release or engagement of a first frictional engagement system and a second transmission assembly connected in series to the first transmission assembly for changing gear ratios in accordance with the engagement or release of a second frictional engagement system. It includes a decision system for deciding whether or not the automatic transmission should execute the gear changes and a time lag controller for making the time lag for the second frictional engagement system to be engaged shorter than the time lag for the second frictional engagement system to be engaged for another gear change when the automatic transmission is to execute the gear changes.

  • Patent number: 5085495
Abstract: A support member for supporting a plurality of vertically-arranged Fresnel sheets is fixedly mounted on a lower end portion of a reinforcing sheet. A hanging mechanism hangs the reinforcement sheet and the Fresnel sheets vertically adjustably. An elongated screen is constituted by a plurality of vertically-arranged unit screens, and the overall screen is constituted by a plurality of elongated screens arranged horizontally. A mechanism for preventing the relative displacement of the opposed edges of the elongated screens from each other in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the elongated screen is provided at an effective projection light-absent region where the light projected from projectors onto the screen is not hindered. A mechanism for limiting the absolute displacement of the elongated screens in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the elongated screen is provided at the right and left edges of the elongated screens and is disposed at the effective projection light-absent region.
