  • Publication number: 20240155210
Abstract: A data generation apparatus comprises a first image acquiring unit that acquires a visible light image, a second image acquiring unit that acquires an invisible light image, a subject detection unit that detects a subject in the visible light image, and a supervisory data generation unit that generates supervisory data to be used in learning of a learning model for subject detection of an invisible light image based on the invisible light image and a subject detection result acquired by the subject detection unit.

  • Publication number: 20230360229
Abstract: An image processing apparatus for tracking an image of a predetermined object included in an input captured image includes acquiring the captured image, executing tracking processing to identify a position of the image of the predetermined object included in the captured image, executing the tracking processing using different matching methods, acquiring situation information indicating a state of the predetermined object and/or an image capture situation of the captured image, and switching, on a basis of the situation information, to executing the tracking processing using either a first tracking unit or a second tracking unit on a basis of the captured image. The matching method used by the first tracking unit has a lower power consumption associated with executing the tracking processing than the matching method used by the second tracking unit.

  • Publication number: 20230342946
Abstract: An image processing apparatus comprises a first tracking circuit configured to apply machine learning (ML)-based first tracking processing to images and a second tracking circuit configured to apply non-ML-based second tracking processing to the images. The apparatus controls operations of the first and second tracking circuits so that an operation frequency of the first tracking circuit to be lower than an operation frequency of the second tracking circuit.

  • Publication number: 20230116274
Abstract: An image processing apparatus having appropriate capability while reducing power consumption is disclosed. The image processing apparatus comprises a first tracking unit and a second tracking unit having a higher processing accuracy and a greater operational load than the first tracking unit. The image processing apparatus computes an evaluation value pertaining to difficulty of tracking for a subject region as a tracking target determined in a target frame to which tracking processing is to be applied. The image processing apparatus, based on the evaluation value, activates both the first tracking unit and the second tracking unit, or deactivates at least one of the first tracking unit and the second tracking unit for a subsequent frame to the target frame.

  • Publication number: 20230011551
Abstract: An image-capturing apparatus according to the present invention includes: an image sensor; a gaze detecting sensor configured to detect a gaze of a user; and at least one memory and at least one processor which function as: an object-detecting unit configured to detect an object from an image captured by the image sensor; and a control unit configured to, if the object-detecting unit detects an object of a specific type in a case where a state of the gaze detecting sensor is a first state for detecting the gaze, change the state of the gaze detecting sensor to a second state in which an electric power consumption of the gaze detecting sensor is less than in the first state.

  • Publication number: 20220309706
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes an analysis unit for analyzing an image, an extraction unit for extracting a reference image corresponding to a specific object, and a first correlation calculation unit and a second correlation calculation unit for presuming an area having a high correlation in an input image by using the reference image. The first correlation calculation unit executes presumption based on components including a direct current (DC) component, and the second correlation calculation unit executes presumption based on an alternate current (AC) component, from which the DC component is eliminated. Based on at least any one of a detection result of the specific object, a feature amount of the specific object, and an analysis result of an imaging scene, acquired by the analysis unit, the first correlation calculation unit and the second correlation calculation unit are switched when the area is presumed.

  • Publication number: 20220239836
Abstract: An image processing device detects a subject inside a captured image, acquires information of a first subject area and a second subject area that is a part thereof, and detects features of the subject areas. The image processing device calculates evaluation values from the detected feature points. If the second subject area is detected, control of displaying a display frame corresponding to the subject area on the display unit is performed. In addition, if the second subject area is not detected, control of displaying ranging position candidate frames as evaluation values to be displayed on the display unit is performed.
