  • Patent number: 6823581
Abstract: A base plate and load beam for an HG assembly are formed in series, stacked, and transferred by a transfer system in the form of the stacked-layer series to undergo the necessary assembly processes such as layer joining, slider attachment, and electrical connections between the terminals thereon. When uncompleted HG assemblies are transferred for each of the manufacturing processes, the uncompleted HG assembly is mounted on the assembly jig such as a tray or a block for transference. For this reason, assembling jigs, the number of which is at least equal to the number of the uncompleted HG assemblies remaining at the respective assembly processes would be needed. Accordingly, the efficiency of work space is reduced, and a rise in manufacturing cost is brought about by the need for the assembling jigs.

  • Publication number: 20030191594
Abstract: An authentication processing apparatus for performing authentication based on a user's normal operation is provided. The authentication processing apparatus performs the authentication processing on the basis of operation information obtained from normally operating an information processing apparatus. Operation information obtained from operating an input unit by the user, such as a keyboard inputting mode, is obtained to serve as operation information, and the obtained operation information is checked against operation information registered in a database to perform authentication. Authentication is thus made possible without requiring the user to perform the special input processing for the authentication processing. Authentication is performed taking into consideration a plurality of pieces of operation information. With the checking processing in which less dispersed data is weighted, user authentication with high accuracy is made possible.

  • Publication number: 20030038886
Abstract: The object of the invention is to offer a signal recording/playback device which contributes to the efficiency of analysis work when analyzing the cause of failures of mechanical equipment or the like. A synchronization separation section 2 extracts a horizontal synchronization signal and a video signal from a television signal. A temperature sensor 4 outputs an electrical signal proportional to the measured temperature. An S/H section 5 samples the electrical signal output by the temperature sensor 4 in synchronization with the horizontal synchronization signal. The video signal data and electrical signal data corresponding to the same horizontal synchronization signal are stored at the same address in a memory section 7. On the other hand, the video signal data and electrical signal data stored at the same address in the memory section 7 are simultaneously read in synchronization with a display synchronization signal output by a display synchronization signal generating section 8.

  • Publication number: 20020083459
Abstract: Value-added information is created based on favorite information of a content user. The content is processed according to the generated value-added information. Favorite data indicating operations, such as fast-forward, pause, and rewind operations, performed while the content is being played back, and personal user information, such as the age group, the gender, and the life-style, of the content user are transferred to a server via a network. The server performs statistical processing on the user favorite data to generate value-added information according to the attributes of the user, such as the age group, the gender, and the life-style. Accordingly, the user is able to search for popular titles, play back only popular scenes, and skip uninteresting scenes by using a content playback apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4871146
Abstract: A multifunction apparatus for the direct heat treatment of a medium- to high-carbon steel rod in a lower quench line and the treatment of low carbon steel in an upper quench line. A hot-rolled rod is transported on a conveyor in the form of a sequence of non-concentric rings, the conveyor, being operative between a first position in contact with the lower quench line and a second position in the upper cooling line. In the lower quench line the rod is subjected to controlled cooling in a coolant so that the greater part of any austenite in the entire length of the rod is substantially uniformly transformed to a fine pearlite structure. A heat holding vessel is operated under conditions that transforms any residual defects into pearlite.

  • Patent number: 4770722
Abstract: A method and apparatus for the direct heat treatment of a medium- to high-carbon steel rod in which the formation of martensite is prevented, even if the starting billet contains segregation. A hot-rolled rod is transported on a conveyor in the form of a sequence of non-concentric rings. The rod is then subjected to controlled cooling in a coolant so that the greater part of any austenite in the entire length of the rod is substantially uniformly transformed to a fine pearlite structure. The sequence of non-concentric rings of the rod is next held at a temperature of 450.degree.-630.degree. C. for a period of 60-300 seconds, with the pitch between each ring being made smaller than at the inlet of the conveyor. Accordingly, a pearlite transformation is effected of any residual austenite.
