Abstract: A server is disclosed for computing a score of an opinion that a message in a text file is expected to convey regarding a subject to be evaluated, wherein the message is written using literal strings and pictorial symbols. In this server, by the use of a pictorial-symbol dictionary memory storing a correspondence between designated pictorial-symbols to be rated and scores of opinions expressed by the respective pictorial-symbols, at least one of the used pictorial-symbols in the message which is coincident with at least one of the designated pictorial-symbols stored in the pictorial-symbol dictionary memory, is extracted from the message, at least one of the opinion scores which corresponds to the at least one extracted pictorial-symbol is retrieved within the pictorial-symbol dictionary memory, and an aggregate net opinion score for the message is calculated, based on an aggregate opinion score for the at least one extracted pictorial-symbol.

Abstract: Disclosed is a secondary content provision system and method capable of automated creation and distribution of secondary content, such as digital albums, that offer high levels of satisfaction to users, with little inconvenience. After images captured by a user have been divided into segments, the image characteristic quantity thereof is compared with a dictionary, metadata assigned thereto, and stored as primary content. Secondary content is generated with a secondary content creation unit, selecting primary content based on metadata designated in a story template as raw images, and distributing same to the user. If a request for correction is made, the user will initiate the correction by selecting a replacement image from the primary content list. The correction information will also be used in dictionary updates, etc.

Abstract: A route setting method for use in a navigation system for navigating a movable body is provided with a process area setting process of setting a process area, which corresponds to a present position of the movable body, includes a plurality of route points and has a size based on a performance of a recovery route searching process, in case that the present position of the movable body does not exist on a set route from an original departure point to a final destination point. The set route includes the route points and is set in advance. The route setting method is also provided with: a route point searching process of searching a closest route point, which is the closest to the final destination point among the route points on a boundary of or within the set process area; and the recovery route searching process of searching a recovery route from the present position of the movable body to the searched closest route point.
