The present invention relates to: a virus inactivating agent containing, as an effective component thereof, at least one selected from mint oil, eucalyptus oil, rosemary oil, sage oil, tea tree oil, shell ginger oil, peppermint oil, lemongrass oil, cajeputi oil, niaouli cineole oil, lime oil, lemon oil, lemon verbena oil, St. John's wort oil, ravintsara oil, rosewood oil, Melissa/lemon balm oil, myrrh oil, mandarin oil, vetiver oil, frankincense oil, citronella oil, cardamom oil, Angelica oil, and cationized starch; and an external skin preparation composition containing the same.

Abstract: A lip cosmetic has a high transparency without giving unnatural whiteness and exerts a remarkable effect of ultraviolet ray protection over a broad wavelength range including the UVA and UVB regions. Abstract: Provided is a makeup cosmetic having bright fluorescent colouring whilst still having excellent transparency (being clear), and a cosmetic colouring material that is suitable for the cosmetic. The makeup cosmetic comprises (A) at least one kind of oil-soluble dye selected from the group consisting of red no. 218, red no. 223 and orange no. 201, (B) particles of a specific material selected from hydroxyapatite, calcium carbonate, a metal oxide (other than ferric oxide) and silica, and (C) oil, wherein the blending amount of pigment is not greater than 0.5 mass %, and the blending amount of water is less than 1.5 mass %. The makeup cosmetic, achieves high luminance fluorescent colouring whilst also having excellent transparency, and can be used as a lip cosmetic, blusher or eye shadow.
