  • Patent number: 7401534
Abstract: An actuator device includes a drive motor, gears and pairs of rotary shafts. The gears are rotated by torque outputted from the drive motor. Each pair of rotary shafts corresponds to one of the gears. The rotary shafts in each pair extend from both axial sides of the corresponding gear, respectively. At least two of the rotary shafts function as output shafts that are capable of outputting the torque of the corresponding gear or gears to the outside. This is capable of dealing with various requirements.

  • Publication number: 20060164030
Abstract: A motor actuator for actuating a driven member includes a control unit and a brushless motor, which includes a coil, a magnet and a hall element. The coil generates a magnetic field when being energized. The magnet rotor is rotatable in the magnetic field generated by the coil. The hall element detects a variation in the magnetic field due to rotation of the magnet rotor. Then, the hall element outputs an output signal according to the variation in the magnetic field. The control unit detects a relative position between the magnet rotor and the coil based on the output signal outputted from the hall element, and controls energization of the coil based on the relative position. Furthermore, the control unit detects a location of the driven member, and controls the brushless motor to drive the driven member based on a rotation amount of the magnet rotor.

  • Patent number: 6712727
Abstract: The motor actuator includes a driving motor, and a motor gear formed on a rotary shaft of the driving motor. The motor actuator further includes an input gear which meshes with the motor gear, and a planet gear revolving around a rotation axis of the input gear when the input gear is rotated. It further includes a stationary gear which is fixed in a coaxial relation with the input gear, and meshes with the planet gear. It further includes an output gear which is disposed rotatably in a coaxial relation with the input gear, has an output shaft and teeth whose number is different from that of the stationary gear, and meshes with the planet gear. With this configuration, the motor actuator is preferably small and reliable, and provides preferable output characteristics in torque and rotational speed.

  • Patent number: 6674191
Abstract: A motor actuator control system includes a motor actuator having a motor, an output shaft for outputting rotation of the motor at reduced speed, and a gear train for transmitting rotation to the output shaft while reducing rotataional speed. The system further includes a first detector detecting current surges generated when contact between a commutator and brushes in the motor is broken, a second detector detecting a predetermined rotational position of a gear, and a control unit for controlling the motor on the basis of signals from the first detector and signals from the second detector. When the predetermined rotational position is detected, the position and the count of the current surges are correlated. Then, the motor is driven until the count reaches a predetermined number to rotate the output shaft to another predetermined rotational position.

  • Publication number: 20020130567
Abstract: A motor actuator control system includes a motor actuator having a motor, an output shaft for outputting rotational motion of the motor at reduced rotational speed, and a gear train for transmitting the rotational motion to the output shaft while reducing rotational speed. The system further includes a first detector detecting a surge current generated at the moment that contact between a commutator and brushes in the motor is broken, a second detector detecting a predetermined rotational position of a gear, and a control unit controlling the motor on the basis of a signal from the first detector and another signal from the second detector. When the rotational position is detected, the position and the count of the surge current are correlated.
