    Abstract: A coil component includes a drum core, a first wire, and a second wire. The drum core includes a winding core, a first flange, and a second flange. The first wire includes a first winding portion. The second wire includes a second winding portion. When the second wire is traced from the end at the first flange toward the second flange, a specific position is a position at which the second wire comes into first contact with an outward-facing part of the first wire, and a specific turn is a turn of the second wire that is wound around from the specific position so as to proceed toward the second flange. The second winding portion has, within the specific turn, two intersections at which the second wire intersects the first wire.

    Abstract: A coil component includes a core including a winding core portion and flange portions; wires wound around the winding core portion; and terminal electrodes on the respective flange portions. The wires respectively have flattened portions connected to the terminal electrodes. The flattened portions each have a shape that becomes thinner from the winding core portion toward a tip end of a corresponding one of the wires. When viewed from a side where mounting surfaces are located, a center axis of a part of each of the flattened portions closer to the winding core portion and a center axis of a part of a corresponding one of the flattened portions closer to the tip end extend in different directions. The center axis of the part of each of the flattened portions closer to the tip end extends in a direction parallel to an axial direction.

    Abstract: A coil component has a structure capable of suppressing disconnection of a center wire material of a wire and reducing inconvenience due to deterioration of an insulating film. A slope is provided at a boundary portion between a mounting surface and an inner end face of a flange portion. A terminal electrode includes a first electrode portion provided along the mounting surface, and a second electrode portion provided along the slope so as to extend from a first electrode portion to the middle of the slope. A wire is electrically and mechanically connected in both the first electrode portion and the second electrode portion. A diameter of the wire on a winding core portion is larger than a dimension of the second electrode portion in a height direction, but a dimension of the slope in a depth direction is larger than the diameter of the wire.

    Abstract: In a coil component, a first wire has a part that extends in a spiral shape along a peripheral surface of a winding core part with a central axis being the axis of rotation. A second wire has a part that extends in a spiral shape outside the peripheral surface of the winding core in a radial direction centered on the central axis with the central axis being the axis of rotation. The second wire includes an outer part and an inner part. The inner part extends continuously along the peripheral surface of the winding core part in a spiral shape through a range greater than 360 degrees. The outer part extends in a spiral shape outside the inner part in a radial direction centered on the central axis. The inner part is located between the L-th turn and the (L+1)-th turn of the first wire.
