    Abstract: A multi-tier winding coil 1 of a welding wire in a hollow cylindrical configuration having a beginning wire end which is located in the innermost tier and at one of cylinder end faces, a combination of such coil with a shipment packaging box 21, and a combination of the coil 1 and a wire feed adapter 5 which is used to mount the coil on a welding machine are disclosed. The coil 1 includes bundling wires 3a-3d. The beginning wire end of the coil is bent to extend in a radial direction of the coil loop, and is then bent in a direction to extend parallel to the center axis of the coil, thus defining an L-configuration 1sr+1sa. A wire feed adapter 5 includes a barrel 5b formed with notches 5br-5br4 and 5ar-5a4 for receiving beginning ends 1s.

The member has excellent non-linearity and a high varistor valtage. Further, the arrester has very small size and improved protective properties.

    Abstract: An abrasive cloth dresser which can efficiently remove reaction products soaked into abrasive cloths for polishing semiconductor wafers etc. without scattering the reaction products. The abrasive cloth dresser includes a rotating hollow arm shaft 7, a high-pressure pure water jetting head 8 provided at a distal end of the hollow arm shaft, and a brush hood 11 provided at a distal end of the high-pressure pure water jetting head 8 and having a brush 16 planted thereto. The high-pressure pure water jetting head 8 includes a jet nozzle 83 through which high-pressure pure water is jetted for impacting reaction products soaked into a piece of abrasive cloth 3 to come out for removal. The brush 16 is elliptical in shape, and has a planted bristle density which is lower in a brush left-hand portion 161 near the high-pressure pure water injection center IC, but higher in a brush central portion 162 and a brush right-hand portion 163.

    Abstract: A lightning arrester comprises nonlinear resistance discs 2 stacked within a ceramic casing 1, with annular metal cover rings 3, 4 being fixed to the opposite outer ends of the casing. Conductive plates 5, 19 having reduced thickness rupturable central portions are sealed to the inner ends of the casing, with the lower plate 19 being insulated from the lower ring 4 by an insulating ring 20. An ammeter 16 is connected between the conductive plate 19 and ground by a lead wire 21 passing through the ring skirt but insulated therefrom, whereby only leakage current passing through the nonlinear resistance discs is sensed.
