  • Patent number: 8687960
Abstract: A communication method of an optical communication system in which a plurality of ONUs are connected to an OLT, includes steps (a) allocating, by the OLT, a transmission bandwidth to an ONU capable of an operation in a sleep mode in which an optical transmitter is tentatively halted for a predetermined sleep period, and transmitting a transmission bandwidth notification to the ONU when the ONU is in the sleep mode and when the ONU is not in the sleep mode; (b) receiving, from the ONU to which the transmission bandwidth is allocated, a response signal when the ONU is not in the sleep mode, wherein the response signal is or is not received during the sleep mode; and (c) suppressing, by the OLT, an alarm in the sleep mode, the alarm being caused by a communication failure with the ONU on a basis of the response signal not being received.

  • Publication number: 20140079396
Abstract: An ONU includes the optical transceiver capable of an operation in a power-saving mode in which power consumption is reduced by stopping transmission while continuing reception, and a control device that controls to tentatively validate transmission of the optical transceiver and outputs a response signal when a control signal is received from an OLT during an operation in a power-saving state. Moreover, the OLT includes the control device that allocates a transmission bandwidth to the ONU even while the optical transceiver of the ONU operates in a power-saving mode and stops transmission and determines whether a communication failure occurs or the ONU is in operation in a power-saving mode based on the response signal received by a transceiver of the OLT.

  • Publication number: 20130258482
Abstract: A laminate body (1) is provided with a transparent substrate (10) and a refractive layer (11) which refracts incident light towards the top of the substrate (10). The refractive layer (11) contains, at least, one kind of fluorine compound (ss) selected from a group consisting of fluoro-silsesquioxane and fluoro-silsesquioxane polymers, and a resin (pl) having a refractive index higher than that of the aforementioned fluorine compound (ss). Of the side of the substrate (10) (the side of the back surface s2) and the side opposite thereof (the side of the front surface s1), the concentration of the fluorine compound (ss) in the refractive layer (11) is higher on said side opposite (the side of the front surface s1), and the refractive layer (11) foams a graded structure layer of high refractive indices and low refractive indices inside the layer.

  • Patent number: 5757811
Abstract: The invention provides a test system of a fault detecting means, in which, during a normal operation, a fault forcibly generating circuit lets a transmission path signal inputted from the outside pass through as it is, generates a test signal which is the same as that of the transmission path signal, and outputs it to a fault detecting circuit. During a time of testing, the fault forcibly generating circuit outputs "Low" level of the test signal forcibly to the fault detecting circuit, according to a test control signal outputted from a control portion. When the fault detecting circuit detects this test signal, an step-out alarm is generated and transmitted to the control portion. The control portion monitors the step-out alarm from the fault detecting circuit. The control portion judges the operation to be normal if the step-out alarm is outputted, and to be abnormal if the step-out alarm is not outputted under the condition that the step-out alarm is not outputted at the time of non-testing.
