  • Patent number: 6217290
Abstract: A control valve for a variable capacity compressor; wherein an opening degree of a valve member disposed in a coolant gas passage for communicating a discharge pressure region of the variable capacity compressor with a crankcase thereof is made adjustable by a magnetization action of a solenoid, thereby causing an inclination angle of a wobble plate to change and also causing a discharging capacity of the compressor to change; and which is characterized in that the main valve body comprises a solenoid, a pressure sensitive chamber provided with bellows and a valve chamber provided with the valve member, and that the solenoid is provided with a plunger connected with one end of a stem, whose other end of the stem being detachably contacted with a stopper of the bellows, and the other end of the plunger being linked to a rod to be contacted with the valve member.

  • Patent number: 5937731
Abstract: A swash plate of a variable capacity swash plate compressor has a front-side sliding surface and a rear-side sliding surface. Pairs of substantially hemispherical shoes each perform relative rotation on the front-side and rear-side sliding surfaces of the swash plate, respectively, with respect to the circumference of the swash plate as the drive shaft rotates. A plurality of pistons each have one end thereof formed therein with a pair of concave support portions for each slidably supporting the shoe. At least one of the front-side and rear-slde sliding surfaces of the swash plate has a mounting recess formed at an outer peripheral portion thereof, the outer peripheral portion receiving no load which acts on the at least one of the front-side rear-side sliding surfaces of the swash plate. The mounting recess is used for assembling the each pair of the pairs of shoes with the swash plate and the pair of concave support portions at the one end of a corresponding one of the pistons.

  • Patent number: 5931079
Abstract: A variable capacity swash plate compressor includes a plurality of pistons slidably received in a plurality of cylinder bores, respectively, a rotating member rigidly fitted on the drive shaft, for rotation in unison with the drive shaft, a swash plate mounted on the drive shaft in a manner tilted with respect to an imaginary plane perpendicular to the drive shaft and axially slidable along the drive shaft, and a linkage interposed between the rotating member and the swash plate, for tiltably connecting the swash plate to the rotating member to cause the swash plate to rotate in unison with the rotating member. The link member is offset by a predetermined amount from a boundary between a compressing piston-side area which receives compression reaction forces from ones of the pistons during the compression stroke and a suction piston-side area which receives tensile reaction forces from ones of the pistons during the suction stroke, toward the compressing piston-side area.

  • Patent number: 5593297
Abstract: In a scroll type compressor, a simple structure provides oil intake assistance to ensure that lubricating oil in an oil space is induced into a spiral groove in correspondence to the rotation rate of a drive shaft. The drive shaft is provided with an inclined spiral groove which is formed in the external circumferential surface of the drive shaft. The drive shaft slides in contact with a main bearing. A leading end of the spiral groove, in the direction of the rotation of the drive shaft, communicates with the oil space and a trailing end of the spiral groove opens into the lubricating oil reservoir. The lubricating oil is supplied to the area where the drive shaft slides in contact with the main bearing by the spiral groove. Also, upon rotation of the drive shaft, intake of lubricating oil into the spiral groove is assisted when the suction force is reduced due to a high rotation rate.

  • Patent number: 5551852
Abstract: A scroll type compressor including a drive shaft which is provided with a spiral groove formed in an external circumferential surface of the drive shaft. The spiral groove communicates diagonally between the oil space and the upper portion of the main bearing to ensure sufficient lubrication and sealing in the area where the drive shaft slide in contact with the main bearing. A seal bearing portion is positioned between the oil space and the low pressure space to isolate the oil space from the low pressure orbiting space, achieving an improvement in lubrication. The seal bearing portion is constituted with a seal washer, a seal bearing and a seal member, and, furthermore, with seal reinforcing material, to especially improve the seal between the oil space and the oscillation space.

  • Patent number: 5472328
Abstract: In order to provide a simple structure to achieve sufficient lubrication and sealing in the various areas of a scroll compressor where sliding contact occurs, a spiral groove that communicates between a high-pressure side space and an area at an upper portion of a main bearing is formed on the external circumferential surface of the drive shaft where it comes in contact with and slides against the main bearing. A seal bearing is provided in a drive shaft-receiving block between the high-pressure side space and a low pressure side space to seal off the high-pressure side space from the low pressure side space. An oil supply hole is provided that communicates between the high-pressure side space and an oscillation space which is formed by an oscillating scroll member and an oscillating shaft. With this, a first oil passage that lubricates the main bearing and a second oil passage that lubricates an oscillating shaft-insertion hole are formed.

  • Patent number: 5105723
Abstract: A swash plate type axial piston pump having a valve plate along which a cylinder block slides. The valve plate has an intake port and a discharge port, respectively positioned on a small pitch circle. Oil passages are slanted extending from the intake port and the discharge port to a cylinder hole of the cylinder block of the piston pump, converging at an axial centerline of the cylinder block. Being different from the slanted oil passage, oil guide holes are formed extending from a bottom of the cylinder hole in parallel with a rotary shaft. Supplying pressed oil to the oil guide hole enables to decrease a pressure between the cylinder block and the valve plate.
