Patent number: 7146241Abstract: A machine tool control apparatus includes: a control program storage unit that stores control programs for performing standard running control. The control program storage unit includes a basic data memory that sets a control program for performing standard running, and a variable data memory that temporarily alters part of the control program to set a control program for performing temporary running. The machine tool control apparatus further includes a parameter check unit that checks whether a basic parameter stored in the basic data memory and a variable parameter stored in the variable data memory are “matched”; and a temporary running confirmation operation unit that enables the standard running when a parameter check result from the parameter check unit is “match” and that enables the temporary running by performing a temporary running confirmation operation while disenabling the standard running when the parameter check result is “mismatch”.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 2004Date of Patent: December 5, 2006Assignee: Nippei Toyama CorporationInventor: Yukio Kondo

Patent number: 5695657Abstract: A magneto-resistance effect type thin-film magnetic head for detecting reproduced signals by the magneto-resistance effect, which is suitable for detecting reproduced signals by magneto-resistance effects, is disclosed. The thin-film magnetic head includes a two-layered magneto-resistance effect element made up of a first magneto-resistance effect film and a second magneto-resistance effect film of substantially the same width as the first magneto-resistance effect film, layered with a non-magnetic insulating film in-between. Since the magneto-static coupling is produced between the first and second MR films, the magnetic state between the first and second MR films is stabilized. The film thickness contributing to the playback output can be reduced as in the case of a single-layer magnetic head constituted by a single-layer MR film for realizing a high playback output.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 1996Date of Patent: December 9, 1997Assignee: Sony CorporationInventors: Takuji Shibata, Yoshihiro Kanno, Tadayuki Honda, Akio Takada, Yukio Kondo, Tadao Suzuki

Patent number: 4768493Abstract: An arrangement for heating the blow-by gas system of a water cooled type internal combustion engine by providing engine coolant conduits in heat exchange relationship with the blow-by gas hoses and PCV valve. In one embodiment a water jacket surrounds the PCV valve. The heat exchangers between the blow-by gas system hoses and the coolant hoses are parallel adjacent conduits in one embodiment and concentric conduits in another embodiment.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 1985Date of Patent: September 6, 1988Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Shoichi Ohtaka, Yukio Kondo, Kaoru Aoki, Masayuki Kumada, Takashi Iwashita

Patent number: 4741295Abstract: An intake manifold system for a V-type multiple cylinder engine comprising an upstream intake passage, a plenum intake chamber, an intake manifold and downstream intake passages. The upstream intake passage which is directly connected to a throttle body curves downwards towards the intake chamber while the downstream intake passages are connected to the upper end of the intake chamber by way of the intake manifold and after being curved in the shape of inverted letter U are connected to the intake ports of the engine. The intake manifold system as a whole can be accommodated within a gap defined between the two cylinder banks of the engine in a highly compact manner. The advantageous arrangement of the overall intake passage produces favorable ram effect and assures high volume efficiency particularly in low speed range of the engine.Type: GrantFiled: September 5, 1986Date of Patent: May 3, 1988Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Hideaki Hosoya, Shigeru Suzuki, Akihisa Senga, Shoichi Ohtaka, Yukio Kondo, Kaoru Aoki, Tadashi Hashimoto, Yasuo Kitami

Patent number: 4667647Abstract: A crankcase ventilating system removes engine oil particles from a gas containing a blow-by gas and drawn from an engine crankcase, and then introduces the gas into an intake manifold. The crankcase ventilating system includes a first chamber for passing a gas from the crankcase therethrough, a valve for controlling the amount of the gas flowing therethrough, and a second chamber for passing therethrough the gas flowing from the first chamber via the valve and for allowing the gas to flow from the second chamber into the intake manifold. The second chamber is arranged to permit the gas to be expanded therein. The crankcase ventilating system can separate fuel and water from the engine oil.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 1985Date of Patent: May 26, 1987Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Shoichi Ohtaka, Hideyo Miyano, Yoshio Nuiya, Yukio Kondo

Patent number: 4517951Abstract: An intake manifold structure for a multi-cylinder engine having first and second independent mixture generators such as carburetors and first and second intake manifolds communicating the mixture generators to respective plural cylinders. A control gas passage and a treating gas passage are provided for introducing a control gas such as return flow exhaust gas, an additional pulse of air or the like, and a treating gas such as crankcase blow-by gas to the manifolds. The control gas passage is arranged to open into the interiors of respective diverging portions of the intake manifolds. The treating gas passage is arranged to open to the interiors of any other portions, avoiding the diverging portions, of the intake manifolds.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 1983Date of Patent: May 21, 1985Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Shoichi Otaka, Yukio Kondo, Masayuki Kumada, Hideyo Kawamoto, Keiji Miura

Patent number: 4173152Abstract: A continuously variable speed converter is provided wherein a plurality of balls are interposed between a pair of friction discs for transmitting rotation of an input shaft to an output shaft connected with a fluid pump. A speed change mechanism is arranged to tilt the rotational axis of each of the balls in each plane, including the axis of the input shaft, to thereby change the output/input speed ratio. Disposed within a main housing carrying the input and output shafts is the fluid pump, which also serves as a pressuring means responsive to fluid delivered by itself so as to apply to the output shaft a thrust force corresponding to the pressure of the fluid, so that efficient power transmission without slippage may be provided between the friction discs and the balls.Type: GrantFiled: October 19, 1977Date of Patent: November 6, 1979Assignees: Toyoda-Koki Kabushiki-Kaisha, Toyota Jidosha Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Yukio Kondo, Minoru Kawabata, Mikio Suzuki

Patent number: 4170438Abstract: A continuously variable speed converter is incorporated in a main housing of a fluid pump and is drivingly connected at an output shaft thereof to a pump rotor so as to transmit the driving power of an engine to the pump rotor at various output/input speed ratios. An actuator is operatively connected at its piston to a speed change mechanism of the speed converter and is responsive to pressurized fluids, which are delivered from the pump, respectively, through and not through a throttle element provided on an outlet passage of the pump. The piston is biased by means of a spring to operate the speed change mechanism to maintain constant the pressure difference between fluids before and behind the throttle element, so that fluid may be delivered from the pump approximately at a predetermined flow rate regardless of changes in engine rotational speed.Type: GrantFiled: October 19, 1977Date of Patent: October 9, 1979Assignees: Toyoda-Koki Kabushiki-Kaisha, Toyota Jidosha Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Yukio Kondo, Minoru Kawabata, Mikio Suzuki
