Abstract: A cold pilger mill including a rolling mechanism for intermittently rolling a tubular material over a mandrel to a reduced-diameter pipe. A detector is associated with the rolling mechanism for detecting the rolling phase in the rolling mechanism. A feeding mechanism for feeding the material in the axial direction and a turning mechanism for turning the material and the mandrel are respectively provided with their own motors. A controller is also provided to receive a signal from the detector and supply operation signals to the respective motors of the feeding mechanism and the turning mechanism so that these mechanisms are operated at completion of each rolling stroke.

Abstract: An oxygen absorbent package comprising a plastic microporous film or nonwoven fabric sheet 1 and a laminated sheet 2 comprising a plastic film 3 having a lower softening point than 1 and a plastic film 4 having a higher softening point than film 3, an oxygen absorbent 5 being put between 1 and 2 with film 3 forming the inner layer, the three layers being heat-sealed on the sides is disclosed. The oxygen absorbent is mainly used for storage of foodstuff, particularly liquid or semi-liquid foodstuff.

Abstract: An oxygen absorbent package comprising a rectangular nonwoven fabric sheet, a rectangular perforated film or nonwoven fabric sheet having a lower softening point than sheet, a rectangular microporous film or nonwoven fabric sheet having a higher softening point than film or sheet, and an oxygen absorbent, the three layers being heat sealed on the four sides is disclosed. The oxygen absorbent package is mainly used for storage of foodstuff, particularly liquid or semiliquid foodstuff.

Abstract: At least part of the material constituting the bag in which an oxygen absorbent is sealed is composed of a laminated sheet in which a gas permeable sheet is laminated to one or both sides of a microporous film to provide a lamination the two outside layers of which have different softening points, the layer having a lower softening point constituting the inner surface of the bag is disclosed. The bag of this invention can be produced at a high speed by using an ordinary heat-seal machine.
